Extreme Couponing Ruining For Canadian Couponers?

I think the show Exreme Couponing is fun to watch but it's creating greed in peoples mind. It increased thevolume of couponers for sure but more than that it increased the number of poeple who takes coupons more than they need and probably don't even use it. Just my thought don't get me wrong plss. The coupons I love I will take more than I usually do especialy with long Exp. Like Dove, if I found it I would take 10 - 12 whee if it was something that I less use I would take 4 - 6.
The other reason I think the show is also ruining for long time couponers is because, last night I was watching one of the episodes from New Season of the show and a lady named Michelle was proudly saying she's a shelve clearer and " if you wanted the deal you should've got to the store before me"?????? Seriously???? This is happening here in Canada also now adays. What about poeple who work 6, 7 days a week and gets little time|?? HWat now they have to take time off or something just to take advantage of a deal that they would like to get? It's like a race now

I live in Calgary and I can never get coupons that I want. Ex. Oct. SS coupons that came out, TRUST ME I went to every SDM, 4 Diff. Rexall's, 2 Safeways, and a Co-op. I don't drive and still managed to go to these places just for the St. Ives and Dove Coupons and all of the TPS were emtied out and this was on Sat - Mon. How can it be gone that fast? I ended up asking someone else from Calgary to give me some as she managed to get some and she was soo kind enough to send me some just got it today but I think it's soo unfair. it's been this way since May I find and got worse. I ended up goign out of town to get my coupons for Oct. SS, still didn't get the Dove one but managed to get all the other ones and some new coupons also. But I think it's litle unfair that I had to get my DH to drive all the way out of town to get coupons and I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem. Even if I found 2 or 3 Dove Hair Care coupon I would be happy so I really think the show has a lot to do with it. ( I won`t even start on the inserts OMG you have no idea what I hav to do to get my inserts )

I love the show but it is ticking me off more and more all the time. I had to walk away from the tv the night michelle was on it...i just wanted to reach through the screen and smack her good! GRRR! I hate ppl like that! This show is nothing but trouble for good honest couponers who do it because we have to. It causes coupon shortages like you said plus stores are meaner and meaner about coupons usage...or so I have found. I mean really out of the 8 major stores we have in our area I have found 1 that has allowed me to do multiple transactions recently. They have stopped it at most stores and I blame extreme couponing! It just sucks!

I hear both of you. The stores policies are changing...but not on paper, only when you get to the cashier they explain that the manager has now stated they won't take your coupon because other people are taking advantage of printed one's or they are taking too much product. People are also starting to look at me funny. I hate it. All I want to do is save a little money, which anyone can do if they use coupons, but sometimes I feel the other consumers are looking at me like I'm a leper.
