Can you girls/guys answer something for me? I went to shoppers today and bought the multibionita vitamins that were on for $11.99 x 5 = 59.95 - 50 in coupons = 9.95 (plus taxes). I saw the Issue promo code pop on her screen but she entered through it. I asked about the promo and was told that I wasn't eligible because my price after coupons was less than the required $50. Did I miss the notice that coupons were discounts or something? I thought the term discouns applied to things like employee discounts, spc cards or seniors discounts? Am I wrong?

Offer valid on the purchase total of eligible products after discounts and redemptions and before taxes. It really depends on the store, but if you call HO they will tell you the same as the cashier
If you go to the facebook page for them, their rep said coupons do count towards promos, you could try printing that

I had no issue with the promo after coupons today, and I never have any other time. When I shop & match coupons to sales for promo days, I always make sure I do not use any that are b1g1 free, or a straight FPC as they are entered in as '2002'. Regular $ off enter as '2001'.
In fact, I went today & picked up 7 L'Oreal, 3 Gaviscon & 2 Irish Spring (on clearance) which took me JUST over the $50, then I used 4 x $2 off L'Oreal, 3 x $1.50 off L'Oreal, and 3 x $2 Gaviscon which brought my OOP to $38.99 - even the register told her to issue the promo to me ($10 Tims card), plus I received my 500 points.

yeah...that's what I thought too...if the register told her to issue promo, why didn't she? normally i don't have any issues with this cashier but...i think that I will go back tomorrow to discuss.
