Doesn't look like Belleville or Trenton made the short list for Zellers turning into Target stores this time around. A complete list is here:

this list is just the first wave of stores doing the change over.. doesnt mean other stores won't... they just won't be the first stores... one of the two stores in my area are being switched over
When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

Rat hole... yes. For sure. And now that they've stopped stocking the purina one 220g bags, I have no need to hit that store... It'll be a Target once the base expansion is done. Rumor has it we may even get a Costco in the next few years.

ya they are bad for alot of things in that store i am glad once it will be a target as they want to compete hard with wallyworld like they do in the US. I guess a Costco would be good for the area but i used to be a member and went back in not too long ago and for what i buy i can for the most part get it cheaper using coupies at the store but still good for the community thougg i think

I barely go to the Trenton Zellers, only time I go is if there is a bigger sale there then WM for the baby stuff I need... Hopefully one of these times it will get changed over and I can check it out... I find everything is all over the place...

It is confirmed that Belleville Zellers didn't make the second cut to become a Target. I was there the other day and there was a slip of paper in my bag that confirmed this. I feel neutral on the changeover. I really don't mind Zellers for some things. I find their selection of toys is much better than WM. I wouldn't mind seeing a new store but I am not going to lose any sleep over it
