Hello all, I'm Kay, currently unemployed for health reasons and bored out of my wits most days as I am unable to leave the house. I love freebies and have joined swagbucks and superpoints as well. If anyone would like to add me as a friend you're welcome to, the more the merrier!

Hi there Nice to meet all of you
I just recently signed up so I can start saving some money.
With the cost of living in Vancouver I am on a disabled income and having a hard time surviving. So I could use all the help I can get with coupons and free things.
Anybody have any info on how I could get started on this site for saving money?
Would appreciate all the help I can get thanks!

askLLee29 and tannedgoddess - Here's a few things to do when you start.

#1. If you're looking for coupons and deals with coupons, read this thread each day: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/canadian-coupons/

#2. Start to build your coupon stash. This can be a) coupons you'll use and b) coupons for trading or riding a train.

Good ways to build your stash at first are:

    a. Buy extra copies of the papers that have coupon inserts to help build your stash for trading, trains and your own use. There's an insert in tomorrow's paper. Someone usually posts the list of the coupons in the flyer on the board a few days ahead. Look at the coupons to see "how good for your own shopping" and "how good for trading". It takes a while to figure out what is good for trading.

    b. Order all the online coupons (except maybe the pharmacy ones as they don't usually trade) and check out printables to use for yourself. Most printables are not traded.

At the top of the coupon thread, there's some "sticky" or "permanent" posts that help with these tasks.

    These three are very useful:

    Save.ca Coupons - - BrandSaver.ca - WebSaver.ca - Canadian Coupons

*OFFICIAL* Canadian Printable Coupons - Updated Dec 20

    Abbreviations and acronyms by

    c) Look what at what people are trading for. This is in a folder one level down from Canadian coupons. For example, save.ca Majesta toilet paper and Reach toothbrushes are pretty popular for trading so order those even if you don't plan to use them yourself so you can trade for something you'd use.FPC (free product coupons) are usually great to trade but often they are easy to come by - on rare occasions save.ca has one.

#3. Couponlady usually posts a summary of the items in all the flyers and the coupons to use - super helpful and also will give you a good idea of "what it out there".

#4. Check for a group for your city. Often people meet up face to face and it's great to learn about local deals and swap coupons and get the "inside" scoop on couponing in your town.
Extra cash here - earn by searching/watching videos/doing offers on swagbucks - it's a legit site and pays reliably.

Already do swagbucks?try Instagc or pm me for invite codes for Gifthulk.
