Couponing does help with saving $$. If you have a few minutes each day to visit a couple of sites and do a few searches etc, you might want to check out some sites that pay out in gift cards -- lots of Smart Canuckers save up our gift cards to buy presents or bigger items. Hello everyone!

I'm new to couponing and new to SmartCanucks. I decided to start the new year with a better focus on saving money where possible, so here I am diving into the world of couponing ... my first surprise is just how active you all are! I'm located in Vancouver and have started researching my grocery stores to understand their coupon policies as this seems to be a hurdle for many people.

One thing I wondered -- I've been looking for a post on the forums that defines various coupon terminology - is there one? For example, I'm seeing all sorts of things like FPCs, MIR, P stamps, etc.

Once I build up my coupon stash, I'll be looking to start trading, so you'll see more of me soon
