Ohhhh.... :) lol My avatar is me in cartoon but I WISH I was that adorable! Is that Catherine McPhee? Loved her on Idol
And darn YOU! :shaking fist: you know my "to watch" list is long enough!! I just checked that out and cant imagine why I have never seen it before. I am such an techy nerd AND a Scorpio too boot!
thats not so bad then.. i just draw my limits at her wearing ball gown style dresses covered in lace that need hoop skirts under them for going to school lol because you can't get a solid play in them.. or something with really froo froo sleeves that you can't wear a jacket in (though she does have a few capes lol)
I allow basic dresses to school in warm months but nothing frilly or fancy. It stresses the teachers out too much. I've chatted with a few teachers and they complain how scared they are when a kid comes to school in a nice dress that they will ruin and the parents will get mad, in my opinion the parents have no right to get mad. You have to know kids play and get dirty! lol
I allow basic dresses, ones I don't care about. I especially love the $5.95 H&M dresses, they are perfect play dresses!
DD is always full of paint when she gets home. Thankfully its washable so it usually comes out easily.
yah teachers shouldn't have to stress out over kids clothing but to me if i'm sending my kid to school in a dress i know what her day will be like more or less and i expect her to play in her dress.. we don't do church so there's not a whole ton of reasons for her to wear fancy dresses regularly (not that she owns too many excessively fancy dresses.. i think her fanciest is big blue and that's more a photo shoot style dress) but she does have one with big bell sleeves i call her hippie dress that i love what isn't the best thing for school (big bell sleeves are hard to put in a jacket, and harder to reach for things without spilling something or getting them in something)
Anyone got some great plans for this weekend? I will be heading back into the states for my father's birthday but I am only staying 5 days.
That's what I say also. Parents shouldn't send them in clothes they don't want ruined. It's not the teachers responsibility. But hey, there's always those parents who do allow (or don't pay attention to what their kids are wearing) and then get upset at the teacher.
To me, I expect my kids to be a mess when they get home. lol.
We have school clothes, play clothes (school clothes that are too ruined to keep wearing out) and then Church/fancier event clothes.
