Hi Everyone,
Given that the ability to self-regulate is one of the strongest predictors of academic success
(more than twice than that of IQ)*, as well as physical and mental health outcomes, it is essential
that we put more emphasis on educating students about it. We (MindPowerAcademy.ca) are offering a free research-based program framed around a 6-week (2H/week) curriculum working on 6 key areas in children and adolescents. The lessons are delivered by a team of psychology researchers and teachers and we expect significant improvements in students in the following domains:
- 1.Self-awareness
- 2.Self-regulation (special emphasis will be put on self-regulation skills in the classes)
- 3.Habit building
- 4.Social awareness
- 5.Social/relationship skills
- 6.Responsible decision making
There is no fee for participation in these classes. For more info find us at MindPowerAcademy.ca. If you have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer.
ps. we are offering this class on reservation basis and at the time of last edit the wait time is about 11 months (We are working hard on expanding this program and decreasing the waiting period).

“Mind in the Eye” task is what we use in our lab to tap into emotional intelligence. Our participants usually enjoy this task. I decided to include a link here in case you or your child would like to take the test.
