Big Lots now in Canada and Dollar Tree in Vaughan!

Not sure what section to post this but Vaughan just had a Dollar Tree open last week and today I was at Liquidation World and found out that it is now owned by Big Lots. Seems all the US companies are coming North!

Big Lots is advertising that Canadians will now have the opportunity to take advantage of all the US closeouts that they acquire. Wonder if we will get some of the same deals they offer in the US.

I have a friend who just posted a picture of herself with a dollar tree apron on facebook, and I was like "Since when do we have a dollar tree?"

Good to know though, I've stopped at LW a few times and am really excited to see what kind of deals they'll have.

Went to our Liquidation World about two weeks ago and the shelves were empty. They had reorganized the store, much needed, but there was very few items. Here's hoping Big Lots has come to town.

Check the shelves for little paper triangular things that say LW is now part of big lots, it'll let you know if they'll be getting BL stock.

Also, found more info on Dollar Tree, they acquired Dollar Giant a while back and aren't replacing DG, they're going to build new stores, somewhere around 1,000.

Does anbody know where both stores are located? I checked the dollar tree site but seems like they haven't added new locations or anything, especially for Canada. I heard they were coming here!

The Liquidation World here was looking pretty bare, too, but I stopped in a few days ago and it looks like the new stock is slowly starting to come in.

Last time I was in Big Lots in the US, the cashier told me I should sign up for their rewards card since they bought Liquidation World and are opening new stores in Canada around January. YAY! Of course, I got the card. lol. Can't wait to see their new stores.
