I haven't posted in a while, but I had to share this one! I went to my local London Drugs today, and as usual they were completely sold out of Quantum Finish I did get one Finish Quantumatic that was marked down to 6.99, so I threw that in the cart and headed for the baby section to see if I could score some Huggies slip ons for the little man. I wasn't feeling all that optimistic, but I got to the aisle, and there were exactly four packages of size 5's and nothing else! While I generally frown on the practice, I admit I took all four, as he LOVES these, and the coupons for some of the Huggies expired today. Then I went and grabbed a bottle of multibionita Vitamins on sale for 11.99, and a package of Tylenol night time back and body pain on sale for 10.99. I got to customer service, and the girl that I REALLY like was on one of the tills just clocking in. She saw my cart and coupons, and called me out of the line at CS and put me through herself! YAY!! She let me use 7.00 in coupons for the Quantumatic, 10.00 in various coupons for the diapers, and when she rang in the multibionitas, I handed her my coupons and said" I know you have to adjust these down, but that's all good!" and she said to me, just let me check. I had given her a 5.00 printable, a 4.50 printable, and a 5.00 insert, knowing that with the new policy, the best I could expect was 11.00 off(the policy says they will only honor 3.00 on printables) She called the manager, and he said to give me full redemption for the 5.00 and the 4.50, and then adjust the 5.00 to 1.99 and I get them for FREE!!!! SWEET! When it was all said and done, my total with tax was 28.64. The cashier had to get an override, because my coupon savings were 69.68!! So I should have paid 98.32 for four packages of huggies, a bottle of Multibionita, 1 Quantumatic, and a tylenol nighttime back and body, and walked out paying 28.64, 6.64 of which was taxes!! That works out to a 70.8% savings. My husband was actually speechless. And while I was there, I preordered some Finish Quantum tabs for next week- I'm going to pm walmart to 10.97 and use my coupons and get em for .97!! Woo Hoo, Happy FRIDAY!!!!!
