My mail gets "misplaced" as we live on an A avenue. I regularly phone Canada Post and have them investigate. Doesn't do any good though. I'm sure some of it never makes it to my house. But I have never had an envelope sliced open! That is terrible

Wow I guess some postal workers are willing to risk their job. Im going to tape up the whole envie from now on...Hopefully that might make some people its not worth the hassle to rip it open. I have been missing several samples and coupons as well lately.

I normally tape up all sides of the envelope if its a thicker envelope full. When I mail off anything I like to make sure that all personal info is placed inside, folded inwards so that from the outside it is not noticable.
It is despicable to have ones mail tampered with.http://www.facebook.com/groups/29636...6361680429066/

CP is so annoying; even with the $5 Gas Cards I had one sent to my home and one sent to my moms the exact same day and the one to my moms never showed up :@

my mom got her stride gum coupon stolen and one of her BOGO for peek freans...envelope came but coupon missing...and those suckers are hard to open...so the coupon didn't accidentally fall out...she filed a complaint with Canada post...worth complaining about...it might scare people into honesty!

that sucks!
I'm wondering the same... had a trade suppose to be coming from a high rated trader and after 5 weeks nothing. She was nice enough to send a few more of the coupons that she had extras of (thanks Smeelady)... but... damn! Felt horrible! Now I'm worrying about all of my trades. That the people I sent them to get them and that I get theirs in return. I always use security envelopes (have for years for everything I mail) but still :S

I'm pretty new to coupon trading, so I don't have a huge coupon base. The coupons I gave her were basically all I had. So, I told her I would send back the coupons she sent me. Kind of stinks we're both losing out on the trade due to someone's selfishness

I totally thought I was the only person that this has happened to!
I have had only one but it was not so much sliced but more ripped open along the bottom. There was a Canada Post label on the envie stating that the envelope was damaged, it has been fixed and I should contact the sender if anything was missing. (should have taken a picture!) They had taped the ripped open bottom back up.
So if someone is slicing/ripping your envies, odds are it's after they leave the station.

I just finished watching the news, and in Airdrie Alberta a CP worker was charged with stealing mail. They went to his house and he had up to 5 years worth of stuff sitting there, a lot of it unopened. What is the point of that????
So yes, I believe that some workers would risk their jobs to take coupons, cards, anything they think might be of value. We all need a little sunshine every now and then
