What about the taste of these onions?
Bought a bunch of 6 green onions this weekend for 33¢ ! I'm all set for the next year- or ∞.
I actually have one onion that's already growing back from the year before!
(the other ones got yanked out or they'd be growing too)
I just stick the ends in the soil when I'm done using them fresh from the store.
If I'm lazy I'll stick them in water to keep them alive.
They taste better grown in compost/soil.
I'd like to try , even though I don't have a garden
I've done that with chives right outside our kitchen entrance. They develop excellent and contributes an excellent light red onion taste to my foods since dh doesn't eat red onion I I like them.
