Oh my gosh I was so excited especially for the popcorn coupon & then printed them but those damn ads!!!! Holy! I think I used about $5 worth of ink! Thank God it was only black & not colour. I saw the post on the Blog so I didn't see scbpooh's warning. But here's what it looks like:

Omg that is ridiculous to say the least. Are they trying to piss people off? You should post that picture on the Facebook page of any of those brands showing people how ridiculous that is. I haven't printed them yet now I'm not so sure I will.

Well just got back from complaining on the smartsource and conagra foods websites! Total BS!!!

[My two Canadian cents]

Since the coupon is printed first on the page (i.e. at the top of the page), you can save ink by stopping it from printing the ad by selecting the "cancel printing" option if there is one when the coupon portion is finished printing. If there isn't one, you can either unplug your printer power plug, unplug the printer USB cable (if your printer isn't wireless), or open the ink or toner cartridge compartment (i.e. like when you change the ink or toner cartridge, but you don't have to remove the ink or toner cartridge) when the coupon portion is finished printing.

I use the "open the ink or toner cartridge compartment" method when I print coupons with ads from SmartSource. I can see the paper when I open my printer's ink cartridge compartment; it also stops printing when I open the ink cartridge compartment and continues to print when I close the ink cartridge compartment, so I can open the ink cartridge compartment to see if the coupon portion is finished printing and close it if it isn't finished. When it's finished, I select the "cancel printing" option and my printer automatically stops printing and spits the paper out.

ok so my tip is diff. about these coupons. If I know in advance about how it will look like. I fold the paper in half or only use 1/3 of paper (most smart source coupons are 1/3 of page) to save my ink from printing adds. I remember same thing was with buckley coupon and I always used 1/2 of paper sheet.
