Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anybody else works in healthcare, where do you buy your scrubs? I have gotten lucky a few times in-store @ Walmart (clearance), have ordered twice from Walmart clearance online (I usually don't shop online). I have tried on the ones @ Giant Tigre, got a few tops but pants are all too big (I'm sure you'll understand a too big top still sits on the shoulder but when even the XS are that baggy.... it just doesn't work) for me even the extra small. The ones that do fit me @ l'Equipeur (Mark's Work Wearhouse) are far too expensive for me.
I am looking for small sizes @ a great price. I live in Montreal. I usually don't shop online especially since sizing seems to be a big issue, but good reviews of websites that offer good prices/low-free shipping and easy returns are also welcome.

Mark's Work Warehouse had a 25% off scrubs offer about three flyers ago. Some flyers come with the $10 off wus $50 card (like this week's flyer) so that is another opportunity to save.
If you can sew, it might be worthwhile to get a sewing pattern for scrubs-you can adjust pattern for fit and choose your own poly-cotton fabric & trim & pockets.
Not sure if regular Sears stores carry scrubs in stock-think it is catalogue-only. No idea if their Outlet stores might be another possibility.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Thanks Ciel - Sears used to have lots available online/outlet - they are all gone. Catalogue might be an option - will have to look into it.
The sewing pattern is a great idea.... although my skills/resources (no machine) are very limited. I'll have to try talking my mother into putting some together for me

I'm going to recommend you get a copy of Pattern Fitting with Confidence by Nancy Zieman from the library. I recently borrowed a copy and she made a really interesting point-for pattern sizing, you go by your front measurement between arm creases to ensure no "gaposis" in the shoulders/neckline areas and adjust fit in back as needed. This book also shows how to adjust pants and patterns for fit though most readywear pants for women don't have more than 1/4" serged seam allowances inside.
I've noticed that if I buy a pattern for Mom by her actual bust size, there is a gaping neckline issue because of her rounded shoulder area. I'm going to see if trying Nancy's methods improves fit in tops for Mom and for me (I have thin arms and find most sleeves too voluminous for my build).2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

New Mark's Work Wearhouse flyer indicates 30% off all Healthcare Pro scrubs (regular prices ending in .99 only) for this week.
Sadly, there was no $10 off wub $50 card attached to the flyer (if you have the card from last week's flyer, it expires today)! Hope that helps you, @Kwizzy !2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
