Lucky you :)
That's a lot of cucumbers! I had the same PC Plus offer and thought I was doing well when I bought four!
Awesome! If you don't do canning, but still like pickles, if you'd like, I could give you a recipe I use for "Bucket Pickles" you can just keep in the fridge for several months - and I use LE cucs in them, not like when one is canning and you need to use pickling cucs. (They are called that name because the original recipe fits in an ice cream bucket! - though I don't make that much at once.)
Great deal. :)
Wow, what a great deal. Plus, very nice of you to share with others. Thank you for sharing a great brag..............:-)
Love your brag!
What an impressive deal on cucumbers...but may husband might faint if I came home with 40 cucs, lol. That is nice that you could share your haul.
@Natalka , what are "LE" cucs?
Wow. What a nice deal! They keep offering me 400/600 pts for cucumbers but produce in B. C. Is already expensive so sometimes it's just lame for me.
I had the same offer and bought 4 yesterday, but got the same offer today so will do it again early next week. I would love the recipe for the pickles! I will pm you!
I'll put the recipe here, instead of sending separate PMs.
The first is the original recipe, then with my modifications...
MaryAnn's Bucket Pickles
---------------------------
Measure into a 4L ice cream bucket and stir to dissolve:
4 cups white sugar
2 cups white vinegar
2 Tablespoons coarse pickling salt
1 teaspoon each of tumeric, celery seed, mustard seed
Add one large Spanish onion, sliced thinly; one each red and green pepper, seeded, cut in slices.
Thinly slice five Long English cucumbers, with peel.
Add vegetables to bucket with brine.
Let stand on counter for two to four hours, stirring occasionally.
Vegetables will shrink.
Cover and store in fridge up to six months.

My changes - I've had the one above (it's my oldest sister's recipe), and it's really good.
However I don't usually have those spices, and I don't need to make so much.
I make 1/2 a recipe of the brine for three cucumbers and two onions. I don't add the peppers.
I add just regular salt, lots of fresh dill chopped fine, a bit of dried basil and oregano.
It really makes a difference to slice the cucumbers very thinly - they curl up a bit and get nice and crunchy over time.
Thank you for the recipe
Thanks for the recipe Natalka.
Nice brag! But I thought you could only get the offer once. How did u get soo many points? I tired but I only got the points for the first product.. I did 2 transaction...
