Got an offer in my email from TD. If you open a new account (unlimited) and change over a direct deposit, and make one bill payment, $300 in my hands. Appointment made for Friday. This works for me because, first off, basically free $300. And having a separate account for bills (business) will make tax time and other bookkeeping easier.

Subscribing! I'll try to come here daily to keep a record of my shopping/no shopping habbits. But these rebate apps/mail in rebates don't let me have lots of no shopping days in a month.
So if i say that i bought 2 tide detergents for $8.96 including tax and got back $5 in my checkout51 account to make these bottles cost $2 each...is it considered "things done to save money" or not?
read the gas meter and called the gas company to enter the reading:shade:
home heating gas went down in price because the weather was warmer than normal:whoo:
but the Ontario Liberal government added a new tax in the new Ontario budget:yell:
so having an actual monthly reading rather than them estimating the monthly reading, saves us money
Went to the thrift store yesterday to get some mugs yesterday. For a total of $5.50 I got 4 mugs, 2 curtain rods, 2 new tea towels, Rubbermaid spinning thing for my cupboard and 6 books. Sure beats store prices.
DH brought me a Stouffer's pin home from work today.
I started adding one meatless and one meal made with eggs to my weekly meal planning. Makes a difference saving on the meat.
Made toasted whole wheat egg salad sandwiches using chopped eggs, chopped bacon ( free ) and red peppers last night with lots of lettuce added. Also a big pot of vegetable soup ( I do this every week and use up all the vegetables in the fridge. I like to do this the day before garbage day to get rid of all the garbage cleaning vegetables makes though not alot as I use nearly everything. LOL. This way my fridge is cleaned out weekly and ready for the next shop ) The family loved it. Added a dish of fruit salad and the whole family was stuffed and happy :) I think planning meals weekly saves money :)
Went home for lunch from work.
Around our area, if you don't read your meter, they estimate the amount you use. They are usually way off and very high.
When they get a few months meter readings, the monthly bills start going down. The more readings that we do, the more our monthly bills have been going down.
DH brought me home another free Stouffer's pin home from work today.
Grabbed a lunch serving of homemade chili from the freezer on my way out the door this morning.
Cleaned out my purse and found my maple leaf coupons. I'm ready for some deals!
I saved money I cashed out of Clixsense today! I need the money for my motorcycle insurance which is due in April. Getting paid in US money is good because it is always a surprise when I exchange it to Canadian money.
7 free Stouffer' pins from my MIL and a SCOP for $10.00 off solar powered batteries so I only paid $2.86 plus tax.
