Might be time to redeem some points?

Since joining this site I have really been more careful when it comes to earning SDM points and that is all thanks to everyone on here teaching me the ways!

I became an Optimum Plus member a short time ago and to date I have 320,000 points (and waiting for my 8,000 x 2 and 10,000 to be awarded at the end of Nov & beginning of Dec).

Its funny as I want to redeem but on the other hand want to keep watching those points grow!

Not that it is any of my business but would be interested to see where everyone else is at with their points bonus!

I know what you mean. You work so hard to get all those points, then you get the itch to redeem.
I am the same way. I have 384760 and have been tempted to redeem, but am holding out till closer to xmas.

I've gotten another Wii as ours was starting to make funny noises. The old one is now my personal netflix viewer in my bedroom.

I've gotten a PS3 with Move Package.

I have 700,000 points. I started in January and I have redeemed several times. My key to earning points and couponing is my love of milk & cereal. I have never bought a cosmetic but I will buy perfume for Christmas.

I started collecting in July. I've done 2 X $200 redemption's so far and I have 160 000 points. I'm hoping to pick up another 30 000 by the next bonus redemption to be able to do two maximum redemption's. I just wish Shoppers sold toys, veggies and fruit. It'd be perfect then.

I started collecting about a year ago. Done only 1 bonus redemption of $200, current balance is a measly 140000, really need to fatten up my points balance.

Just did a $100 redemption myself so I have a whole 150 points now! Chris has about 4500 on his card. If we get SDM to accept our BP coupons that were forgotten about at the redemption, that will add another 3000 to our total.

So, in other words, WAY behind you!

I joined on Oct. 7th and if I buy $450 worth of GCs this week, I'll be at 96,000 - I think that's amazing for only 1 month!!
I'm hoping they sell xbox since it's on the kid's x-mas list.

Wowsers, I am envious of all your totals. I just signed up two weeks ago & I have maybe 600-1000. I had an Optimum card WAY back when I was like 16. There was a Shoppers right across from my high school & it was a hang out. I remember them pushing them like crazy & just about everyone that would go in there would sign up for one. I never really did anything with it, haha.

Can anyone give me some good advice on how to earn points & watch them pile up at a pretty decent rate? I really am clueless when it comes to these.

For now, do you need gas ? If you do, buy 150$ Esso GC and you get 8000 points, it's 10$ reward and on bonus redemption day it's about 15$ I think! Always buy GC first, then pay for your purchase with GC! Watch the flyers, shop on 20x the points or 18500 Bonus points days, use coupons!
