Cat, small, mainly carnivorous animal, Felis silvestris catus, member of the family Felidae, popular as a household pet, and valuable for killing mice and rats. Like other members of the cat family, the domestic cat has retractile claws; keen hearing and smell; remarkable night vision; and a compact, muscular, and highly supple body. Cats possess excellent memory and exhibit considerable aptitude for learning by observation and experience. There are an estimated 600 million house cats in the world.

3 indoor and 3 outdoor barn cats. My barn cats get to come into the heated garage in the cold months and when they get older they will live inside. One will most likey make that transition this winter.

    WOW! I have one. LOL
That's enough cat litter for me.
    haha

When my family lived on a farm (one of a few) we had 27 barn cats. New ones would just show up. They were all breeding.... it was insane.

My friend's cat Bella lived to be 17 or 18... she passed away
just a couple of years ago and right until the end, she was
the queen at home. Funny how animals can show respect where
    it's due huh?

We were always a two-cat household until a few years ago. We are down to one now that my "baby" has passed away. I am thinking of getting Gilbert a playmate some time in the near future.

Thank you FreebieChick. He actually passed away more than a year ago, but I still miss him very much.
