PC Plus Representative at Maxi.

DD and I was approached by a rep from PC Plus at Maxi. If you sign up for a PC Financial CC, you get in the mail 4 x 5000 scannable points that you can scan with your purchases. If you apply before Nov. 11, you also get an offer of 30,000 points WUS $50 or more. DD signed up. It's better than a bag of cookies or a PC reusable bag.

I said what about me? I've been a PC MC Financial card holder for years. She said I could upgrade to the next card and get the same offers. I was hesitant cause I really don't want another card until she said that every time I use my card, I get double points. I think she said that there are no yearly fees, so I signed up too. If there are fees, I'm going to cancel my card.

Nice! There is no annual fee for any PCMC, so you got an absolutely perfect deal because we aren't supposed to get these 50000 pcpoints for an upgrade.

Last week, my DD got her basic card with 4 x 5000 PC points coupons. I got a letter that says that since I already have a PC MC, I was refused and if I wanted an upgrade, I should call this number. I didn't. Yesterday, DH and I went shopping at Maxi and I saw the PC rep guy. I told DH to sign up but he was next in line to pay. We put the groceries in the car and went back in looking for the guy. We found him and he was busy with a man and wife who both signed up. We had to wait for about 15 minutes. So DH signed up and will get 50,000 points. These are for new customers only.

Today, I decided to call and take my chances getting an upgrade with 50K points. You don't get 50K points with an upgrade. She took all my info again and asked how much total household income we have. I was $5000 shy of getting it. I said that DH, DD, and I have stocks and that put me over. So I will be getting my new card soon, and 50,000 points will be added to my PC account. The good news about this card is that when I shop at Loblaws umbrella stores or SDM, I get 3x points. Since I always buy a $100 GC at SDM before I shop, I get 1000 optimum points, and 3000 PC points. So that's an extra $150 for the whole family. Happy happy dance.
