So, I've been noticing lately there has been some people that pretty much just goes on SC to be rude or "attack" other SC'ers on their post. I keep saying were all on here to save money and of course help each other out. There is no need to "attack" another SC'er on what they post regarding their coupons/deals/finds or whatever. If you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. I don't stand for all of that bull****
(excuse my language) but it really pushes my button if I read it and I know that SC'er their being rude or nasty to is an awesome SC'er then I will not be quiet about it! Why has couponing bringing the ugly side of people out? I know we have some great awesome generous SC'ers on here but its the rotten ones that gives us a bad name!!!!
Its just the ones I've been seeing haven't been on SC long, rarely any trade ratings, no posts. So is it that their just making an account to be bitter and nasty??
What do you guys think?
just my 2 cents on this topic

I know what you mean. I now report the posts that the rude ones make.
If I do not like a post, (other than being mean) I do not comment on it, just move on. It's not up to me to comment on the conduct of others, just to make sure that I am doing the right thing.
I come here to trade coupons, join trains and to "meet" people with the same interest as me....saving money, not to get in a pi**ing match with people about where they get their coupons, or how they use them.
It seems that this community does ban together to get rid of the nasties, and to let them know that certain behavior is expected, it is great to see. It is like having little kids around again "no, you cannot call some one stupid" "no you cannot kick someone" "yes, you have to be nice" Come on people just grow the heck up.

We do have some trolls. People who have been banned from the site who can't move on and keep making accounts to be rude and negative.
Some people are just rude.

Misery loves company?
I'll allow that some things come across as seeming rude, just because the internet lacks tone of voice, body language, facial expression ect. And there is no font for sarcasm (somone should get on that). In other places I have had someone interpret my posts poorly due to these factors, so it could happen here. However some things are unmistakably rude, uncalled for and things that most people wouldn't say to your face.
Being new, this does seem like a pretty friendly place overall.

Honestly, if my children behaved like some of the people on here I'd have a serious look in the mirror and then take away their privileges. However, on the plus side, I've learned some very funny curses lately. "May you be involved in a lawsuit in which you know you are right."
“May the fleas of 1000 camels infest your crotch.”

I'm still laughing over the crotch one, from a different post. Anyone know how to get Pepsi off a keyboard????
The plus side with all the nasties is that my personal DNTWS list is growing weekly. I always refer to it when doing trades or trains. I will never have anything to do with them, I don't think there is a time limit on being rude.

welll @#$#$ you all...we can be rude if we wanna be if you don't like it don't read ....blah blah blah
etc. etc.
I'm just joking. I've been rude once (not outright but very sarcastic)...I got warned but gosh it was worth it I responded to a comment that was just so ludicrous I had to respond.
But don't worry one is is my yearly rudeness quota...but 2012 is around the corner :-PLast edited by frugalkitty; Tue, Nov 15th, 2011 at 05:30 PM.

but as orual said the internet does not do tone of voice or facial expressions, which can make a difference. I think when people start standing up for the person they like the best, thats when its drama.

Pepsi off a keyboard...pop the keys off individually and clean. Do not get cleaner inside the keyboard. Also use a Q-tip to clean between keys.

I'd say 99.9% of SCers are genuinely nice people for sure. You always run into a few who clash with your interests/saying etc.

Unfortunately, there are rude people everywhere, sometimes it's best to completely ignore them rather than respond to it.
I'd type more, but it takes too much energy & I have little to spare until I get better

I think that as a few of you have mentioned "rudeness is everywhere" & for some odd reason the world is becoming more & more of a "me" society...which is sad. That being said I'm hoping that the way we raise our child now changes that in the future...and as Gandhi says “Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Have a great day

There will always be greedy people, rude people, and down right unethical people. I have found that some people have been trading for FPCs and high values and returning expired ones.....rude and not right. I know who they are and will not join a train nor trade with them. This is also the same person that takes all the items that they have cleared shelves to get for free and resells it. Again some people.
