Anyone else have to confirm email instore?

I wanted to buy an SDM giftcard. Head cashier wanted to see my id to confirm MC which is fine. but then she wanted to write down my DL license # which is a REAL big no-no and invasion of privacy. Dont' let a cashier ever read out your personal information or record any personal information.

There is a store in Burlington that wanted to keep a copy of mine, I reported it to HQ just in case as I don't really care about spam emails, I get lots anyway but my personal info that can be used for identity theft is another thing

My local store had my e-mail address pop up on the screen just over a week ago. I simply told the cashier yes that is my correct address and she pressed a button. First time since SCers started reporting about the e-mail checks in-store.
