SO i just got back from walmart, they had the loreal expertise conditioner in the tubes for $1 on clearance. I was going to use the $1.50 coupons. The CSM told me that i could not use them because the coupon statewd that it could not be combined with another special offer.
What do you think???
This is the first time i have ever heard this...
i have used multiple coupons on multiple clearance items before.
I was so mad, i grabbed my coupons back and left. This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

They can pull that one out of their magic coupon denying bag of tricks and I think they get away with it too! A " sale " I was told once was considered a special offer! You did the right thing, take your coupons. leave and try somewhere else.

I think that CSM shouldn't be a CSM.

The funny thing is. i could back in a couple days, go thru a different cashier, and they wouldn't even blink. they wouldst call the "csm" over, they would just deduct the coupons.

The Csm was wrong. Try again with a different cashier.

I had a Safeway clerk try to pull that one on me with a different coupon and product. He told me you are only allowed to use coupons on regular priced items that cost more than the coupon. I called for the General Manager who proceeded to educate the clerk.

Because of the wording, some stores are trying to get away with this, I think this is going to be the next thing for denying us coupons!! A sale price is not a special offer, but now that's what some stores are calling it!!It's getting hard out there to save a buck!! We will all have to start calling, e-mailing the companies and letting them know that we are being refused using their coupons, maybe they'll change the wording!!

I have heard this from too many a cashier and csm at Walmart. I always ask to speak to a STORE MANAGER. Sometimes I am told that he/she is in a meeting. I always tell them I will wait for them at the CS desk. For some reason, this always gets the response of "Well, we'll make an exception THIS TIME". This time my A$$!
