When do the stores reduce there meat for quick sale?

I was wondering when do the super market reduce there meats for quick sale?

I'm not sure about most stores but the No-frills in Aurora seem like they do it every morning right after the store opens.

From what I have seen they usually do a walk thru the meat display and reorganize everything and put the 30% stickers on all of the qualifying products.

I have also noticed that they sometimes keep putting out meat items that were in the previous flyer (that obviously did not sell out) with the 30% sticker on them the following week.

I have seen that a lot of people talk about that you can often get major mark downs on the last closing day before a long weekend and then again on the next opening day.

My wife and myself like to try and use the mark downs with the pc points which can really add up in savings.

The Sobeys in Bedford NS rarely marks their meat down, although the night before a statutory holiday they will mark it down by 30% about 2 hours before closing.

Loblaws will go through the meat every day and sticker the ones that expire that day. Butcher there said they won't even sticker ones that expire tomorrow, so if there's no meat expiring that day, nothing will have a sticker on it
