Thread: Advice please!!!

I teach a special needs class and decided we would do a big fundraiser before Christmas so I could take the kids on a ski trip. Our sales are going really well - and the kids are busy working away on knotting their pillows. They are really loving the idea of raising the money themselves. The one aspect I didn't really look into is filling the pillows!! The bags of stuffing at Fabricland are $4 for a 16 oz bag - one bag does 4 pillows. We plan on hopefully selling 100-150 pillows ---- which means I would have to spend $100-150 on stuffing ... considering I have already spent over $200 on the fleece I am hoping for some idea as where I could get it for less. Walmart has a much bigger bag, but when you break it down it is the same price. Has anyone seen a recent sale? Thank you so much for any advice!

Have you thought about trying Micheals and using the coupons that were in the flyer to help with the cost.

Thank you for your ideas. Michael's is still double the price -- even with the 50% off coupon!! But a great thought. Len's Mills I checked out today and they are the same price as Fabricland. I picked up a few bags today at Fabricland and asked parents to consider donating a bag. My students are selling them to family and friends and we are also selling them to the students at our school - so far we have sold 75! We are hoping to reach 100 - but I am speculating we will go even higher! The pillows are turning out really cute. Thank you for your advice and time. MUCH appreciated

That is so kind. Thank you. I will let you know if we head out into "the public" -- right now I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with how many orders we have already!! Mind you I think this will be our rush and then things will quiet down. I would be thrilled to message you in a week or so when I figure out our total sales! And this price is right (I think!) A big Pillow is $7 and small is $5. I will be in touch ! Thank you

awesome. guess i should have asked where you live. travelling might deter the price line a bit if its out of town. but in the city would be great.
