Congrats coupon girl. Baby boys are fun.
Mine turned 16 today, what a milestone. He also got a job at the superstore so we are pretty excited for him.
Tell him not to get involved in gossip at the superstore. My friend got a burnout
I spent $15.50 at the thrift store this morning and I earned $15 from selling extra garden veggies. He wants me to contact him again whenever I have extra veggies for sale.
for dishes use hand made dishcloths (have a few mom made left)-but wash them very often ,scrubbies form the dollar store
-saw Sebastian today at noon til 3.00 pm ahhh he is so adorable -long fingers black hair ,he gripped my finger so tight -so sweet -my daughter looks pretty good but she needed rest so we left earlier took us 2 and a half hours to get home -toronto traffic is brutal sometimes -lol
Coupongirl, I am so glad you were able to spend wonderful time with your grandson, Sebastian and your daughter. Yes, I can't imagine what that stressful drive every day does to the health of the daily commuters.
Got some things accomplished today like mopping floors and tidying up a bit. Got rid of some of our empty boxes to a couple in the building who are moving away. Too bad, they are very nice and more closely matched to our age range.
Managed to spend a lovely sunset time with Dh on our "porch" as we are calling it. The doggie is amazed at her view of the street.
Had a good visit with dh's nurse today. She is very good.
Tomorrow, I have an appointment with the naturopath and the chiropractor. Hoping to get this body back on track and ease my nightly pain in my hip.
We had grilled turkey legs, sweet potatoes and baked beans for supper. Staying away from fried things will help dh.
Have a continuing frugal week!
Well, that was another sleepless night with the twins. Today is our son's first morning of Pre-K. He helped me pack his bag yesterday. I still haven't decided what I am going to do for the 3hrs that he is in school. I don't have any daycare kids today, so I will just have our twins.
I'm in the process of sorting and washing some bigger clothes for our twins, which also means that I need to purge their dressers and box small items up for sale. I washed and dried baby boy's last night. Baby girl's is on today's to do list.
I'll need to pick up milk today. I'll also need to pick up a fresh loaf of French bread on Saturday because it is an important ingredient in my baked cheese loaf that I am bringing to a BBQ potluck that evening. There are some offers on CO51 that interest me this week. I ordered a cheque earlier this month that I am still waiting on.
@Angela273 : I found them in No Frills for $1, so you might want to check if there's one nearby. I've never shopped at the dollar store because it always seems that I can find what I'm looking for in regular stores for less or with a better return policy for the same price.
Congratulations on your new grandson! I may just have to borrow that name for my list. ;) I don't know what to name it yet. DH's choices are so different than mine. DH has a famous or historically famous last name, so my only criteria is that it has to sound better than the famous boy/girl counterpart.
I posted another bus story in the rants section. I have to laugh at my daily bus ride home, or I think I would get too upset at the situation. I may also start to walk more as the doctors say that the last test may point to some health issues this pregnancy. The weather is not sweltering anymore, so I might just try today! Unfortunately, DH won't be home until past LO's bedtime, so I might be stuck in a time crunch scrambling to get something on the table for dinner.
With my health, I'm trying desperately to get 8 hours of sleep. I've been averaging 4 hours per night since LO was born three years ago, so my organs and regular biological processes may be paying for it now. It's either buy more processed foods, or stay up late/use up weekends and playtime with LO to batch cook. Since we have no freezer, we have to cook a minimum of twice a week.
Perhaps it's time to look into a small freezer.
I got a great small freezer I have in my tiny kitchen. I only paid 40$ @ estate sale
Another beautiful day here today, sure wish I had planned to take today off!
Went home for lunch and made myself a fried egg on a toasted English muffin. Simple and healthy.
We finish cleaning the family room tonight! I warned DS he would be my errand boy. "go put this on my bed, go put his on the bookshelf etc." He is a good helper!
Back again after a mental break. Prior to leaving this forum I mentioned that my hubby likely has kidney cancer. We finally saw the specialist yesterday and the news was much more positive than we could have imagined. Thank you Lord! The renal mass is small in size and the specialist wants to do the wait and see approach with regular six month scans to monitor the growth. He isn't convinced that it is cancer and, if it is, there is a 1% chance that it could spread to other areas of the body from that site and then only when the growth becomes 7 cm. So we are happy with this. My hubby feels fantastic and has always been extremely healthy. So we carry on. Thanks all for your support - I just read all the messages :-) and now I'm back!
^ Glad you got some answers; keeping him in my prayers.
