My local store lets me.

Technically it's legal tender so they cannot say no. My SDM also lets me pay for prescriptions with gift cards, the only thing you can't pay for with GC's is Canada Post stuff as it's a separate entity. Everything else - lotto, stamps, meds, gift cards, my store has let me pay for with an SDM GC

I have not seen WM GCs in SDM, typically you can use them to buy other GCs but it does state in the Optimum TOS that they can remove any points you get for buying GCs if you use it to buy other GCs
