I feel like the brags aren't diverse enough recently but I wanted to brag about some of things that have improved my life for little to no money recently in the event any of you have crazy commutes.
I used to subscribe to audible which was expensive but as the Canadian dollar value went down I canceled. I found overdrive the ap and my library has a fantastic list of books available online for free. Sometimes I have to wait but comparing the prices free to 25 dollars a month, I would choose free. I currently have 9 books downloaded.
Secondly, Netflix now allows downloads and this has really increased my lifestyle for my commute. I have 2-3 shows on my tablet at all times and it is fantastic. It's like 10 bucks a month but well worth it.
Lastly, while I saw the ad for the 10 dollar classes, even better, you can apply for a fee waiver on coursera and get verified tracks from coursera for free. I don't know what the cut off is on financial aide. I am middle class but if I apply, once I convert my salary to USD I am approved. I can download the classes for my commute as well. I have completed 3 verified tracks online since I sorted this out. So my commute takes forever, literally forever but I am highly entertained and educated but like nothing. The information age is amazing. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I like this sort of brag the best because you are investing in yourself. Do you sell shares?

Improvements in technology has made life so much easier.Everything seems just a "click" away. It's great that you are using that commute time wisely to get your learning on and when you need to chillax you can do so with your shows...go you!

nice that you found coursera and their introductory prices
regularly coursera prices are $29 (single courses) to $25000 (degrees)
other online options too, such as udemy
thanks for bringing up education OP
for Ontarians making less than $80000 annually, free tuition starts September 2017, with exceptions

What a great share, regardless of financial. Everyone should strive to maximize on minimal.

haha...no I don't drive. I subway to work each morning. Its 3 hours total in my day....1.5 hours each way. Only about 20 minutes each way are made up movement...switching trains/buses/walking etc. I can do the equivalent of 2 hours of watching stuff and about hour of audiobooks/music per day in my commute. All of my friends are like, how do you read so much and I am like oh I listened to it on the subway.
