I happened upon the BOGO deal at SOF on 15% off day. Every SOF is different and you would have to check at your local SOF. I was told that yes, you are aloud to combine a manufactures coupon with the store BOGO coupon, you are also aloud to stack multiple manufactures coupons with the store BOGO coupon (provided of course that you are following all the stacking rules). However, I was informed that since it was 15% off day, I would only be aloud to use one manufactures coupon with the BOGO coupon. Like I said, it depends on the store. There is not one strict policy for the entire chain. Best to check your local stor for their coupon policies.

Well boo. It didn't happen. The cashier told me I could only use coupons on the first (bought) item - and not on the second (free) item. I asked her to confirm with a manager. He came over and said the same thing.
He then proceeded to tell me a maximum of 2 coupons per "purchased" item and the cashier inquired (out loud, in front of me) that she was under the impression that as long as the coupons were all different, the customer could use any number of coupons provided the total value of coupon(s) didn't exceed the value of the product. The manager said that he was unsure.
I've emailed Save-On Foods for a current, up-to-date coupon policy and I stated the multiple variations of information I have received. Oh well ... wait to hear, I guess!

Thanks for trying. They owe you some clarity, though. That reminds me of how it was at my Save On a few months back. There were various staff (managers included) that had different ideas on what was allowed. They've slowly started to get some consistency but they needed to be pushed a little.

There are a lot of different Olymel UPCs out here right now and I've used as many as five of them at once at my Save On.

The manager was "willing to allow" me to use 3 manu. coupons on the "bought" item ... but he didn't understand how/why the store gets the money back from the coupons! He couldn't reason allowing $6.50 off each $14.49 item and then another $14.49 for B1G1F.
Oh well ... it's not like I'd be getting them both for free or even the store "owing" me money! The store would still get their full price for the one item I would have purchased.

They should be delighted to get as many coupons as possible from you. They get money for them, so they can be like cash. Plus, they get a handling fee.

The store might actually be better off by letting you do a large stack on both the "bought" item AND the free item because they should get compensated for ALL those coupons. How is it that managers don't understand coupons?

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking! I asked for the Front End Manager (because they will know more specifically about the cash-out process) and he advised me that he was "the Operating Manager for the store".

I really hope I get a good copy of the Policy from whom I emailed, so that I can take it with me next time :o) and I hope I get it before Saturday so I don't miss the B1G1F deal! LOL

Lol. The frustration with people not knowing how coupons work continues. Really, if the manager took a second to read the coupon then he would know exactly how the store gets the money back. My guess is either he is full-of-it and doesn't like people using coupons so he is grasping at straws or he is just not a proficient reader and can't make sense of the wording on the coupon. I guess its possible that he has never actually read the "to the retailer" part of the coupon, but I find that highly unlikely. I've had more managers not like people using coupons and make up things to try and change my mind about using them than anything else. I guess it's a good thing I have a fairly good sense of humor and can just brush it off. But when they get really ornery I lay it on thick with the "I'm a working mom of two young children and a disabled husband, just trying to provide for my family. Coupons are there to use and good luck with keeping the product in your stores if you refuse. Still have an issue?" That usually gets them to stop and let me go on with my day :D

As for stacking on the free item, I haven't tried because I'm already getting it for free, but I know that my local SOF won't allow it anyways. Not the biggest deal to me though as the item is already free. My one thing that I don't like about their policy is "splitting coupons" (remaining value $1.20 coupon $2.00). The coupon must not be more than the remaining value or they give back the coupon instead of adjusting it
