Hello, friends! We had a wonderful Robbie Burns Dinner at church tonight. The woman who organized it worked for a full year putting it together. She crochets and crocheted every napkin holder, a coaster for every singley wrapped home made shortbread, a Scottish flag tablecloth and a "Red, red rose" for all the women. There was a video presentation of different aspects of Burns' life, home, family, the history of tartans. There were door prizes and haggis (but your supper contained neeps, tatties and beef pies.) There was a piper who is a member of our church and skits performed by other members of the church(which she had written in rhyme). She hand decorated every placemat with stencils of thistles. She sang and taught us verses of Scottish songs. Most people wore tartans and it certainly was a LOT of fun.
It was probably the soberest Robbie Burns night ever! Everyone helped clean up and we were home by 10.
Church tomorrow morning but I'm almost too tired to sleep.

Hello friends! Tough day for me. Three years ago today my DH passed away.
Thought I might have been busy today with a wedding but it was canceled. Went to church and then to a movie. Thought it was a fun one. It was "The Secret Life of Bees." Hardly fun but very good. I thought that I had read the book, but I hadn't.
So much to get caught up on here.
Thought I might have taken a drive but
weather is too iffy.
Well- back to laundry.
