Happy Christmas ⛄🎄 everyone!
Our main celebration was Christmas Eve. Of course, we can't do the traditional 12 meatless dishes, since we are only three - but there was plenty to eat. We had perogies, cabbage rolls, baked lake whitefish - with mushroom gravy and sauteed onions to put on some or all of it! Everything was delish!
Christmas Day we have what our son had called Snacking Supper since he was a kid. Not a formal meal, but yummy: layered shrimp dip, three types of sausage, ham, smoked oysters, with a variety of cheeses and crackers. Amazing how filled up one can get on "snacking' -
Of course Milan was here for both - and hours before and after each. Such awesome visiting time, and when I started to feel unwell both evenings, he kept my spirits up by talking about everything and anything, with lots of kitty and puppy videos interspersed.

@walkonby - never did get any baking done. Thank goodness Milan had picked up goodies from a bakery, plus we have a variety of chocolates.
The men always eat too much at a meal to even entertain the idea of dessert! They are definitely savoury types, rather than sweet.
I still will bake - I have the ingredients waiting!

Hoping your day yesterday was great even with all the restrictions in place. We watched 3 Christmas movies , played board games and catch up with family virtually.

Good morning. We had a good day yesterday. Opened gifts and spent time with family on zoom. We started looking up Christmas songs on youtube and then morphed into watching premiers on Ed Sullivan eg Beatles, Stones and then went onto watching short comedy clips from the Carol Burnett show. Tim Conway was truly a master. lots of laughs
