Good morning ladies!! Oftentimes when I've logged in, read a few posts and enjoyed the giggles I find there is simply nothing new to share. Heaven forbid I should turn into my DH and repeat the same stories from 30 years ago......THAT conversation would be quite sad.
US Politics! Now there is some alternate universe stuff! Every day there are at least 3 or 4 Breaking News announcements.
Never mind Covid fatigue, I'm fairly sure I have Trump fatigue.

We have a thin layer of the white stuff on the ground ( again ) . Cue the person who clears off and warms up our vehicle....oh wait, that's me.
Have a great day all!!

I'm like you,
@walkonby
....love
@GoJays
' fun memes, reading that everyone's keeping well, but then I feel there's nothing I can contribute.
I stay far away from politics, political news, particularly of the US variety, we turn on the news, get the drift of things, then put on some documentary and just chill. And chill. 😌
The covid numbers in southern Ontario are absolutely frightening! What about a lockdown, self isolation do some people not understand?! Such selfishness on display. You all down there, be careful. We have 9 cases here, but we're not going anywhere that some idiot like our finance minister may be lurking. Selfish, entitled SOB.
You all take care, stay home, now more than ever. 😞

Well, I do have some news, I guess. My endoscopy/colonoscopy will be done next Tuesday because it's day surgery. All 3 of our hospitals have outbreaks in various wards, so no surgeries are being done that require an overnight stay.
Also, my pre-diabetes clinic offers zoom webinars, so that's been scheduled for Jan. 15 (my birthday) - so I guess I will have to eat the cake before the webinar (tee-hee).
I got a copy of Alex Trebek's book for Christmas from my brotherR.
I was hoping to go out for New Year's Eve groceries today, but it's threatening freezing rain.
I'm de-Christmasing- washing all the linens, etc. I got a lot of nice comments on the apron that you made me,
@Lynn49
. The fellow across the hall calls me Martha Stewart.
I got a cosy new bathrobe and nice nightie from my other brother and various goodies. They usually ask me what I want for Christmas,which I don't really like because I like a surprise. They didn't ask me this year. My brother said that when he took a look at my current bathrobe when he had to bring things up for me while I was in the hospital, he knew what I needed for Christmas. The thing is, I LOVE that old Terry cotton one. You can't find cotton ones any more -cotton is too hard to find. So I have had that one since 1997. ( I haven't thrown it out😊)
The housekeeper has just been here, so, after the floors dry, I will go down and check the mail.
I have a headache from the various "fronts" that are moving through, but I have lots on my list today.
(I'm still watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Sadly, none of the heroes have responded to my offers of marriage (and other things😉.) But the mail has been slow, I guess.)
Bye for now!
Stay safe, or we'll have a few things to say!
Enjoy your New Year's Eve Eve.

Aw,
@avoncallingu
, I'm relieved to hear your reputation as a Martha Stewart has replaced your former dubious reputation! Bwahahaha! 😅🤣
I still so much enjoy sewing vintage-style aprons; I know it's because of the beautiful ones my Mom sewed, wore at home, and donated to our church bazaars. Women actually waited for them to arrive with us and invariably never made to the tables because they snapped them up! Such fun!
It's such a coincidence that you mentioned your new bathrobe! I'm in a vintage ads FB group and a gal just posted an ad for those quilted robes, remember them?!
I had a sweet pink quilted one as a teen and loved it! I guess many teen girls didnt own one, but they were the coziest along with the real cotton chenille ones. You're so right about the polyester offerings these days. The real heavy cotton ones are well over $100! I'm honestly so tempted to sew a new quilted one for myself. 😏
Enjoy the day, Avon!

Good day!
@avoncallingu - hoping all goes well with the testing!
Nothing new here except for a skin thing I have developed on the underside of my right leg. To the nurse it sounded like sciatica, def not like the type I already have. This feels like boiling water is being poured on.... And I tell a lot. Dr. Google was no help this time, too broad of a symptom.
With that pain I have not slept the past three nights, and an hour of a nap during the day just doesn't cover it!
Grrr...
All else is okay.
Take care!
