Good Morning and Happy Birthday to your dad cath007!

walkonby, speaking of renovating, we have redo the back of our backyard fence. We should have done it last year, but you know, things somehow get put on the back burner and not done. Anyway, i know we need some 4x4 and planks and screws and so on. Hubby put that fence in when we bought the house almost 40 years ago. So its time i guess. We though of hiring a contractor but we have our son and son-in-law and hubby will supervise. Then we can have a BBQ. As long as the Covid restrictions are lifted. If not, then we go with a contractor.

@walkonby , @SnowFlakey , just hope you don't have to hire the contractor that our DD just got a quote from: JUST the labour to re-do their ensuite bathroom? $31,000. No fixtures, just labour. I think he wants to retire on the kids' money!!!
When they gutted their home inside, Bath Depot here....ALL in (gorgeous fixtures, top line)?....$13,000!!
They'll be getting an estimate for their ensuite on Tuesday and hopefully their estimate will stay as reasonable as the last one they did!!

And you're so right, @walkonby ...the older we get the more inclined we are to have others do the work: our bones, knees as we get older sure don't cooperate like they used to.

It's cold, though, -6 now, but -16 this morning...however...+6-8 next week and that had better mean the snow will be killed off!

My new craft produced a nice result for me this week...so excited!
Wish I could post them on here, but it's far too complicated a process to try to post anything on this site! @walkonby , watch your email later...they're fairly presentable, lol...!

Good morning!!!

Our stove repair guy just did another check-up on our stove: new stove instead of repairing this one.
We had looked on line in case this happened, and they all have dials!!! I thought, "how retro"!!
Ours is all electronic, circuit boards, push button...everything out there has dials! Very 60s! Hahahaha!!

So off we go, to find a new stove today.

Well, found a stove....9 days to get here, so more ordering dinner in! :) Hubby put a big porketta in the crockpot yesterday so leftovers today...omgosh I think I could have that every single day the way our butcher here prepares them!
@Natalka, with you and your Hubby unwell, have you looked into more services that you're very likely entitled to? Such as care-giver benefits for your Hubby...time off with compensation? Might require a whack of research, but may be worth it...anyway, I hope you're having a better day today.

Our DD and family had McDonalds on Saturday and she was sick that day and the next, likely food poisoning, but she's going for a covid test just to confirm that it's merely that, plus her sinus infection that she can't seem to shake....as parents, don't we worry, though?! No matter what age they are, we still worry...perhaps this chai tea will help me settle down.

Lynn49, now thats strange about your daughter getting sick after eating McDonalds. My daughter got sick the same night after eating the BLT grilled sandwich from Tims. She was sick, thought it might be Covid, was tested (negative) and spent 5 days in ICU with a bacterial blood infection that the docs couldnt figure out where she got that. So no proof of anything, but she doesnt order anything other than coffee and donuts at tims now.

OMGOSH, @SnowFlakey !! When did that happen? How frightening!!
Our DD has a covid test at 6pm today; we'll all be anxiously awaiting those results. Thank Heaven she's much better today, but precautions must be taken. The only one leaving the house is her Hubby, but he's so careful for all of us, I hope nothing snuck in.

She did tell her DH that it didn't taste "right", just something, couldn't put her finger on it, but she's been struggling with her sinus problem so put it down to that. The boys didn't have a burger, they had chicken...

I'm happy to hear that your Daughter is fine now. It's so scary out there now!
Personally I hate Tims' coffee, food's okay on a road trip but we've never just ordered from there in town.

Let's hope and pray we ALL stay safe and healthy!!
