sleepyhead # 3 reporting for posting!
Watched a rather entertaining series on Disney+ called What If? ( a Marvel animated series ).
Only the first 2 episodes were available to view so far but it's great! ( funny too )
Turns everything we know and love upside down....From Guardians of the Galaxy, StarLord is not Chris Pratt, ( aka Peter Quill ) no... it's the young son of Chadwick Boseman's character from Wakanda that Yondu kidnaps.
Same with Captain America, Chris Evans character gets thrown from the machine and does not get injected and changed into a Supersoldier, but Peggy Carter takes his place and does!
So much more.....but I'll stop here.
Good morning everyone!!! :) A few errands to do later today and then taking it relax!!! :)
Have a good day!!! :)
Oh, what a beautiful morning!!🎵🎶
Off to camp shortly. I think I finally managed to fall asleep somewhere around 4am...almost called you, @walkonby ! Lol! I'm guessing you were awake? Jk...😏...slept in until 11, but there will be napping this afternoon. DD'S assistant is off this week so she'll be monitoring her phone at camp, so...nap time for me!
Enjoy these gorgeous days, stay safe! 🤗
Enjoy your da
Hi everyone!
I am totally enjoying this cool week, warmest is low 20s. Rain promised, but not appearing. Tuesday night was quite cold overnight - single digit. A nearby city got frost, felt so badly for the gardeners.
Health update - my leg blisters have grown larger, they were pushing out the top and bottom of the gauze wrapped around. Tomorrow is bandage change, so we
will see then. They hurt less.
Husband has been eating, so yay! He has to do bloodwork and an ultrasound for another boo-boo.
Today is my brother +Andrew's birthday. He would have been 50, just so unbelievable he passed away four years ago. I miss him so very much...
My son got Andrew's truck, he has out tons of work into continuing the restoration his uncle started - it's an old, but very cool, Ford half-ton.

Nat-your brother was a very good looking man. May he rest in peace. I am sure you miss him terribly.

Good morning @cath007 and all my SC friends .
It will be mostly an indoors kind of day for me since it’s so hot and humid out already
Enjoy whatever you have planned to do
Happy Caturday ladies!
I learned something today. Kind of freaked me out too.
As I lifted the cloths off of Frankie's cage this morning I see this " thing " crawling all around on the cage floor.
Large enough to startle me that's for sure!
I did not want to touch it, so I dashed to the kitchen to get the tweezers and of course as soon as I lifted the small door up this thing scampered underneath both the paper towel and the cardboard flooring below that.
No matter how I searched I did not see it after that. He/she is crafty!
So turns out, one of Frankie's mealworms apparently escaped being eaten by him and at some point had managed to turn into a freaking beetle! Gross!
They.....they turn into things?! That's too naturey for me this morning!!
Will Frankie catch it or have they become besties? Lol!
Another scorcher today, everyone will be at the beach except me. I dont like beaches, water, and half-nekked people! Gag! I'm fine here in a/c comfort. 😊
Oh @Lynn49 you will not believe what happened NEXT! Like that infomercial says " But wait! There's More! "
Since I had lost track of that creepy crawling beetle and hadn't seen him DIE, I couldn't relax.
So I took Frankie out of the large cage, placed him in his hot rod cage with a fresh watermelon wedge and began the tear down of everything in that large cage. ( toys, dishes, ladder, paper towel base, all the seeds...all out, even the perches )
Very alarming that once stripped down to the cardboard, there was still no beetle to be seen....BUT when I lifted out that full sheet which covers the entire floor of his cage....oh golly! I kind of hurled a bit inside, there he was happily moving all over like he owned the joint!
I squeamishly caught him in some paper towel and dropped him outside!
When I returned and had a deeper inspection.....ugh! There were more than 1 dozen mealworms which had also escaped Frankie's gullet at some point and here they were all on the blanket just under the metal floor rungs.
Cage is too heavy for me to lift, so I painstakingly used tweezers to capture them all.
They were all still alive too, so i tossed them back into the fridge. ( yes in the pet store type closed container )
Soooo gross....but had I not done this, likely in about 2-3 weeks we would have had a Beetles reunion in here!
And not the singing kind.
New rule now? No live worms are allowed in his cage. Even though he kills and swallows them...I can no longer be sure he has eaten them all. Up until now I was drowning them which I thought was kinder than crushing their heads in the tweezers, but clearly more drastic measures must be taken.
o.k. you may return to your camp R & R
