I was right! That Game 5 last night was the best! What a nail biter though, could easily have gone either way. Verlander was NOT as advertised, smart of Dusty to pull him out early.
One more win and the Astros take the World Series Title! Bit of a chuckle worthy moment each time Jose Altuve stepped up to the plate. I have heard of James and The Giant Peach but this is Jose and the Giant Ump!
They claim Altuve he is 5'6"....( yeah and I'm 39 ) while the umpire stands 6'7" With each at bat Altuve looked a like a Little league player!

@cath007 , it’s so unusual to have both eyes done at the same time, I had mine 3 weeks apart which is usual here. He’s going to experience colours like he’s never seen or remembers from before! I was able t see the difference when I closed one eye, then the other: the difference was unbelievable. Now that both my eyes are done it’s hard to remember how things looked before but I sure know it wasn’t this brilliant!
ugh, those drops!! 3 in each eye 3 times a day for weeks, still have prednisone from my left eye we’re using, as well as the new right eye now…this could go on for another month! Lol!
im sure your Dad will be just fine, don’t skip the drops, I guess he had to wear his eye patches at night for a week, but not during the day anymore? Will someone be with him thru those nights?
So happy I had this done, your Dad will see so much better that he may also need new glasses.

I slept in until 10am this morning! Good heavens! But it’s been a busy week. I’ll finish the 4 centrepieces today, then on to Christmas cards!

The 2 eyes at the same time it is because he have tiny eye opening so they put him asleep and did the 2 togheter...
Yes 3 drops 4 times a day,but I am good with it
He remember to wear is shells at each night for 15 days
Yes he purchased reading glass haha
He is much better than before,took a drive this morning.

My day started a bit earlier than usual, so I simmered 2 corned beef briskets for 3 hours, got the cabbage low boiling now. Will pressure cook the soaked mixed beans later tonight for the chili. An extra hour of rest this weekend for those working !! Small joys. Have a great Saturday all.

Normally the clocks changing either way don't effect me ( retiree ) but it was quite odd for me to sleep soundly until 9 a.m.
( which ifI'm honest was 10:00 a.m. ) The body must have needed recovery time after all the celebrating over the Leafs win
and the Astros taking their 2nd World Series title.
Anyone watching and listening to Dusty Baker in the the very moment of the win had to tear up! THIS man...omg, the history
of his time in baseball is so incredible. And at 73 how the heck does he come off as a joyous Little League player!? Gracious too, humble yet fierce when it counts! Do I mention the toothpick? ha ha

Your Dad sounds like he's in good hands for sure! I only had to keep that plastic eye patch on for a week, but it wasn't uncomfortable, so another week would have been fine, except for that medical tape we had to buy! A great skin exfoliator, that's for sure! Lol!
Those drops get tedious, but of course, necessary...my Hubby drops them for me, I keep missing and wasting the medicines....he's so good at timing them. It sure feels like a long time to keep up with them, but there are scary things that could go wrong, so best to persevere. :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend and lots of family time.

early hello today. THIS is what happens when I go to bed at a normal time. Blood-work in a couple of hours so no eating till that's finished. Then I'll attempt to fit 25L of fuel in the tank from PetroCan as one of my newest offers earns me an extra 500 bonus Petro points on each 25L fill up till Nov 16th. ( pumping at Shell will be put on hold until then ) . @Lynn49 I adored the Yoda meme, and yes, that IS me!

A dreary-looking, windy morning, so a perfect day or two to catch up on some rest. It’s been a busy couple of weeks here (I’d post a pic or two of my work, but no idea how with Tinypic gone), so I’ve crashed. A couple of days rest might help.
