oh my!! I did the rounds ( gas, grocery, bank ) outside starting at 8 a.m. and once back home I never got off the dang phone!

I had planned to try making a pot of Persian Saffron rice today but instead I'll attempt it on the weekend INCASE it turns delicious.
That way the guys can enjoy it fresh and hot out of the pot.
I do feel like a new person with working legs again!

A sort-of nothing day here, picking up our GS then heading downtown for my bone density test as DH brings him to his orthodontist, then they'll pick me up. Our appointments are only blocks apart, so no problem with DH driving here and there.
Other than that....that's it, folks!!

woo hoo! I just heard the Blue Jays signed Justin Turner!! ( I love that ginger with the pine tar all over his jersey! ) but Turner is only signed for a year......which means we'll likely lose Matt Chapman.....they are both 3rd basemen. oh the heartbreak of breakups. sniff, sniff.

This gloomy weather is so tiring! All I want to do is nap. Like one gal said, “I feel like I’m living in a black and white movie.”
Well, our company that cancelled due to a recurring health issue is now booked for dinner this Friday. As long as we all stay healthy, it should go without a hitch.
I think it’ll be honey-soy baked chicken thighs (the big ones from Costco), mushroom casserole (who knew sliced portobello mushrooms can be baked up with Gruyère cheese and be so delicious!), mashed Yukon gold potatoes (with some herbed cream cheese mixed in), buttered baby carrots, tossed salad, and for dessert, a layered margarita cake! Should be nice together, I think.
i do a lot of prep work the day before, so that I can actually visit with company, lol! They offered to bring appetizers, so that’s nice not to be concerned with.
And how is everyone else doing? Any sunshine anywhere in our world?

The Lady, Lad, and I are heading down south for some fun in the sun for a few weeks! Mexican Pesos have been hard to get since they're at a low right now...but we managed to get some, so off we go!
