TGIF, I made a faux pas last night asking DH if he and DS would mind eating Shepherd's Pie 2 days in a row at work. He looked puzzled and said

Tuesday!! Wasn't much on my to-do list outside except top up the fuel in the vehicle. Then out of nowhere DH cracks me up as he asks if I could pick up some Halloween chocolates and candies ( must be the kinds that are individually wrapped in the bags he says ) . Are they for him? Are we shelling out? NOPE. He wants to bring them into work for the " young guys " he works with....I couldn't help but smile at his generousity but I reminded him that everyone working there are younger than him....BWAHAHA!!! Sweet man.
They did it!! L.A. Dodgers walloped the NYY to win the 2024 World Series! Woo Hoo! Teoscar Hernandez ( our favourite x-Blue Jay ) now has a Championship ring!! Kevin Kiermaier will also get a ring even though he was not on the final roster for the final NYY series. Plus there are 2 x-Blue Jays pitchers ( Anthony Banda and Daniel Hudson )on the L.A. team. We can live vicariously through the Dodgers since our Blue Jays fell way short this season.

Sad but true.
For the 5-6 wee ones in costume who grace our street and are
very cute, I'm sorry but if I have chocolate left over in this house
after the 31st all hell breaks loose and it ain't pretty.

good morning and happy to turn the page into a new month! I am going to start some new recipes I have drooled over since starting a 3 day sardine fast at 9 a.m. on Oct 29th.
Technically I am 3 hours early on the completion of the fast but since the scale this morning revealed a loss of 3.8 lbs. I'm NOT eating the last can at 9:15, no way, no how.

Not sure if it was the warm weather but we had about 180 kids last night, up from about 130 from last year. Had to open a Costco size Rice Krispies treats to keep up
