Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Ran around accomplishing things today and now I am POOPED!
We have to develop a system to clean off Brother R' s walker wheels when he comes in. Our carpet is light beige and it is really showing evidence that that walker has been in and out. Also, our cramped front foyer has to be reorganized so that we can get in, coats, boots etc. and parcels deposited, walker wheels dealt with etc.

Yesterday I dealt with bringing in and finding spots for outside furniture. (We have no storage area so it takes creative thinking.)
I sat down to have a rest and a drink and watch my favourite "Bondi Vet." I proceeded to knock over the very full glass of Orange/grapefruit juice - all over the phone- power bar and receipts I was sorting. Bleee-ahh!

Now cleaned up but it smells amazingly like orange/grapefruit around here!

Got 2 pairs of boots - walking boots for me and BrotherR.

Disability sticker for Brother R so we can now park closer to entrances.

Stop at Bulk Barn and Pharmacy to get prescriptions.

Whew!

Let me rest for a while !!!

Hicks- please call on your supports to do the mundane things. Hopefully you can get an effective cough-suppressant.

@22hicks I am so sorry you are not feeling better and your recovery is going backwards please try and get as much rest so that you can heal. Try and recruit some help. Hope you are feeling much better as the day progress. Have a great evening

What a fun evening with the kids last night! We brought dinner, and when GS slipoed into bed, the 4 of us played You Don't Know Jack on their tv....we each had our ipads/tablets connected somewhere in space to the tv and omgoodness...playing Drawful was too hilarious! We each got a note on what we had to draw, then each would appear on the screen, we each then guessed what we thought the drawing was, then they'd all show up on the screen along with the real one and had to choose what each of us thought was the real one. Points are awarded for guessing the right one and for getting the others to guess our suggestions! Hard to explain, but more often than not we were laughing hysterically! Fibbage was just as hilarious! We'll be doing that more often...we left there at midnight! Way past our bedtimes! Hahaha!
@avoncallingu , you know me.......purge! Purge! Purge!! 🤓 sell, toss, give away! Ohhhhh, I wish I lived there, I'd whip your sweet apartment into shape! Of course you'd have to move out for a while, hahaha!! 😜 but it's the weekend so you should have a couple days of rest. Because you never do. Rest, that is. Nice that you found boots; I have to get motivated to go to Sportchek for mine, maybe today...it was sunny for a while this morning!!

Watching teens react to Nirvana's Smells like teen spirit. Girl: I can't hear a word he's saying, sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. A bit later the host says the song only took 2 takes to record. Girl: oh that's real talent these guys are good.

My fever is 102.4, so along with recovering from surgery, I have this wicked bug to deal with.
So, I feel just miserable, literally and figuratively.

@22hicks , that could be caused by a virus, OR a bacteria. If it's bacterial it CAN be treated with antibiotics...maybe it would be a good idea to haul yourself into a clinic to find out? You won't have to suffer if it's bacterial, it can be cleared up. What about calling your surgeon and letting her know what you're going through right now?
That's all I've got for you, Babe....wish I could help...I'd bring you some yummy chicken soup; that always cures what ails ya! Hoping and praying for the best, Hicks; you've been through so much lately and now this...honestly! How much can one person take?!
Maybe this is worth a try? That temperature scares me a little....

Oh Penguin! The next while won't be great for you. But what did you do on your last date? Movies? Dinner out? Try to "reframe" to the good times. (And you know this is a case of "Do what I suggest, not, necessarily what I do.")
