Good morning everyone...FOGGY drive in this morning! Jeebus, couldn't see 10' in front of me while I was driving from home down to the 401 this morning! From there into the city it was just rainy...Freezing rain starts later this morning, and then the snow...10 degrees now, going down to -15 degrees by dinner time tonight...wonderful...

teeth cleaning today, more blood to be drawn after that at the clinic ( they mixed up the 4 vials I gave them on Tuesday!....whatever! )
Not looking forward to either of those OR the nasty freezing rain that will make driving scary this afternoon.

@danger_dan , be careful driving home! DH and I watch that "Heavy Rescue" on the 401 show and it's darn scary on that highway when things get icy! It also seems that every crash involves a transport truck!! Take it slow and easy, Hon.
-16 here, feels like -26, we don't think the school buses are running, but our van is, so GS is off to school. He anticipates another "snow day" there, like yesterday, but they're allowed to bring their 'electronics' on Fridays, so he'll have as much fun there as he did yesterday. No complaints from him.
The kids are off to the Mayan ruins, then to swim in some cave today and he's very impressed they'll be meeting Aztec descendants who will take them on the tours. :)
Not too sure how to keep busy today, not much to do, that's for sure. Might do a little purging of clothing, which seems to be contrary to the Konmari method of purging. Has anyone else read that book: The Life Changing Method of Tidying Up? Seems to be THE book to read and I was surprised our library had it to download, and that it was even available. Quite the interesting quick read.

Hello folks! Fairly ready for party tomorrow. Poor Tootie had what turned out to be an emergency visit to the vet yesterday. I knew she had been uncomfortable but didn't really know why -turns out that she had VERY impacted anal glands. The vet expelled them and she was SO well behaved! It hurts me to think that she was in so much pain and couldn't really "tell" me.
She's a bit more active today.
What a ride we've had with the weather in the last 24 hours!
I managed to get a few jobs done this morning before the weather turned bad.
Started to organize the party room. Got to remember to make an icering for the punchbowl.

Good morning; well it's been a crummy one here, so, it can only get better, right.
I broke a glass filled with orange juice, which of course went everywhere, then while cleaning up, knocked my mug of coffee off the counter: it broke too. Coffee, juice and glass all over my kitchen. :mad:
Now, over an hour later, I'm having my 1st cup of coffee.

@22hicks , you're a braver woman than I am...after those two incidents I'd have crawled back into bed!!! Although a big cuppa coffee would be the next best thing. And your electronics set-up? I'm just like you: absolutely no idea when it comes to electronics, let alone setting something up. Heck! I still can't figure out how electricity works!! :-~ There must be a number to call tech support that came with your 'stuff'...or a number for the place they were purchased. Or your son on the phone with you, walking you through it all...? Good luck, Hicks!
DH and GS are off to the Paddington Bear movie this afternoon, then they'll pick up KFC for dinner. Yes, I know, hateful stuff, but we only have it perhaps once or twice a year, so no guilt here.
@avoncallingu , how exciting, preparing for your birthday party and setting up the community room in your building! What colours did you pick? How will you disguise the booze? hahaha!! What fun, wish we could be there to celebrate with you.
As for Tootie, thank heavens you realized that something was quite amiss with her and took her into the vet's office. That poor little muffin didn't get anything in the way of medical attention and fun in her wee life, did she? Only a baby-making machine, I wager. It's a blessing that she fould you. Small miracles....:angel:
Well....the kids are still in Cancun, they visited the Mayan temple yesterday, did the "terrifying" as DD put it, climb to the top, but the highlight of their trip was the cenote pool...she said it was absolutely "magical", and the best travel experience of her life. They learned so much about the Mayans that fascinated her, she'll pick up a book about them when she gets home.
Anyhoodles.....take good care of yourselves this weekend, watch those roads and the idiots who don't know how to drive on them. Have a lovely weekend!

The stage is set. Taking a rest for a couple of hours. My patio door has come apart somewhat -rusty screws not holding the frame together so the -14' weather is rushing in through the cracks. Phone calls in to those who might help.
Tomorrow morning I get welcomed into my new church and they present new members with a blesses prayer shawl made by one of the community. Lovely tradition.
