Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Good morning, have been up for hours, let alone up pretty much every hour during the night. Yuck, in a lot of leg/back pain - praying it eases soon because I've got stuff to do!

Spending my day watching the Masters snooker final today on BBC2. Awesome play. Am amazed at how good they are and some of the shots they make!

Forgot to mention the dinner with neighbour last night was great. Just a lasagna and salad. Nibbles to start. Champers (provided by neighbour) with the nibbles and Chardonnay with the lasagna. Had thought of Chianti but opted for a spicey white instead. Went well.

It is a Chardonnay called Toasted Head. You find it in the Vintages section. It has a picture of a bear with flames coming out of its mouth [emoji3]

Thank you, I think, however 'the boys' would find it more to their taste than we would, but certainly good to keep in mind for our special get-togethers, although it may not be as "smoky" as it's advertised? It's always nice to find a wine that someone has actually enjoyed, iykwim. Again, it's advertised as an accompaniment with 'white' meats, but increasingly people are paring red meats with strong white wines.

I have never subscribed to red wine red meat type of paradigms. I drink what I want regardless of the food. Has never failed me yet [emoji12]

Absolutely agree except for those years long gone by now when we ALL believed in adhering to that 'dinner party-miss manners' rule.

Hi lynn ..my friend just send this picture to me few minutes ago,,he loves taking pictures ...this one was taken in my home town ..do get good pics for sure .my weekend was busy busy as bee 🐝 lol all weekend i was head and eyes into paperwork..year end coming up for us ..so its been so busy..hope you had wonderful weekend and found sometime to sit back and relax some .
