@Lynn49 :P I have seen that before but still funny. ;)
Anyway I had a pretty good morning. Was crazy busy at food basics. Multiple people in each lane including about 12-13 people in express lane. By the time I was done just getting 4 items express lane still had 10 people but lane next to it was down to 1 person. I snuck in behind the people in express lane and went to lane 2. Last person in express lane turned around and looked at me like "son of a bit*h " lol. The people in express lane didn't realize lane 2 had cleared fast.
Trust me, it's not by choice. Damn work always gets in the way of sleep

Just had one of the hardest phone calls. Our DS#1 is at the Emerg vet clinic right now and has made the decision to say goodbye to his beloved cat ( 16 yrs old ) Dot. He came in from work tonight to find her bleeding and back legs paralyzed, so some of you with cats probably recognize this as FATE ( Feline aortic thromboembolism ) .
The worst part is he has no way of knowing when she suffered the blood clot thing, so he feels heartbroken that she may have spent hours alone in the apt. crying out in agony. We know she had a pretty decent long life but he understands that she may not fully recover to walk again, and even if she did the heart condition will never go away and she will most certainly have another episode.
He works pretty long hours each day and that won't change so if she recovered she would still have to be alone most of the day. He may have accepted how selfish it would be to prolong her suffering with a battery of tests and procedures.
We have all been sobbing ( DS, DD and myself ) over the phone. He just had a paw print made in clay to keep a memory of her...oh gosh, I can barely handle this!
Aww walker, so sorry to hear about this :(
I love the clay paw print idea, a great way to remember her.
She seems like a real sweetie.

@walkonby I am so sorry for the loss of your son beloved cat. I can imagine how hard that decision was for him.But his last be for her made him make the right decision. She was a beauty. So sorry
@walkonby So sorry to hear about your son's cat. My mom had my cat put down while I was away on vacation years ago. She knew I couldn't handle it so did it while I was away.
Walks, I am so sorry about your son's loss and the fact that he feels he wasn't there to help her. This is so tragic for him and for his mom, you, who know how hard it can be to have to say goodbye to a beloved fur-friend.
I am sending you hugs and prayers. It is a very hard time for you all.
