Hello from the West Coast! It's been fairly chilly and somewhat rainy here but it brightened up for our trip to Butchart Gardens this afternoon. Such a breathtaking display of Spring flowers set in the lush background of the gorgeous gardens. Unbelievable, really. I was only able to keep up for about 1/3 of the gardens as we had walked around shopping all morning and my back and feet were giving me grief.
We are all in our late 60s and 70s. One lady has lost her foot due to complications of diabetes, so no one is in a rush. Everyone at their own pace. Fresh air, good food-lots of laughs- everyone is pretty tired by the end of the day.
One more day and then we rush out at 6:30 am on Wednesday to catch the ferry to get to Vancouver to get on the ship.
Can't wait.

@flemeth and @cath007 good morning to you both, and to all others following behind shortly. @avoncallingu , very happy to hear you're up and about and enjoying the Gardens. I remember visiting Butchart Gardens as a child, but that was over 20 years ago, so I really don't remember much detail. I do remember there being a butterfly garden, is that still there?
Drive in was decent this morning.
It's nice to see the sun starting to peak over the horizon as I'm pulling out of our driveway in the morning at the ungodly hour we get up and go...skies are nice and bright out by the time we get to work, and well after we get home now.
I would say enjoy the warm weather today, but it would be more appropriate to advise you not to forget the sunscreen...sunny and 27 later this afternoon, with a humidex rating to boot! Enjoy the first day of May folks!

New month, new beginning. Over again in the internet usage for April, but that's because I wasn't aware until halfway through April how bad it was. I got a handle on it and managed to keep daily usage down to a max of 6gb per day. And we're still over. May will be better. And it's going to be stinkin' hot today. Don't get me wrong, I've been looking forward to this since last September. I just don't like it when it heats up so fast and so hard. We're looking at nearly 30 degrees today. I predict a massive headache.
