Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Good to be back in the Six after a two week trip out west. Visited the plots of my mother, father, grandfather and grandmother in Saskatoon. Then did the Ukrainian golden triangle and visited siblings in Edmonton and Vegreville. A totally ukie experience! [emoji23]

Now back in Toronto and have planted all my veg for the season and herbs and added a few more successful perennials to the yard.

Plenty of birds this year. Blue jays, cardinals, robins, goldfinches etc. now also getting hummingbirds as we added a hummingbird feeder to the yard.

The plants are coming up amazingly well this year given the horrid winter and spring. All in all I hope it will continue and be a bumper crop year.

Time to sit on the veranda with some brews and watch the world go by.

Happy Mother's Day, Ladies!

Dinner with the family yesterday was lovely and my creme brulee was declared "the best they've ever had"!! And my DH didn't send it back to the kitchen like she has others in restaurants! hahaha!! Omgoodness, it was absolutely decadent!! Wish you were there, @GoJays , @flemeth , @Natalka ....! :)

Today was a quiet, lovely day, DH made me a breakfast that would rival any restaurant, and this afternoon I've been catching up on my Avengers movies...yes, addicted now. :)

Thanks @Natalka :) I'm usually not too worried about my birthday. Just this year it fell on Mother's day and because I was born on Mother's day and my mom passed away in 1998. Also my aunt completely forgot it was my birthday but she said she will take me for lunch during the week lol. She texted me omg I forget it was your birthday. ;)

I did not benefited the IGA air miles deals only on friday.No space in the freezer for more ice cream and we have enough cheese for now.I find the offers were not worthed,I hope IGA will put more high offers soon,

A very good earlier morning to all the sc members!!! :) Today it is a chore day,do the dishes(god I miss to have a dishwasher,I would stock up will all those finish rebate mir's !!! :) ) go grocery shopping,mail enveloppe of 9 trades I made during the week end and friday .Will post the highlight of my shops in brag section this afternoon of after supper.Another bright and sunny not cold at all day!!!! :) Love that.Wishing you all a awesome monday!!! :)

Good Monday morning fellow chatters!
A blowout of a game last night...( 6-2 final ). Tampa Bay sure has their work cut out for them now going back to the Capitols arena down the first 2 games.

Bit of excitement last night....we caught a racoon!
No worries, it is a perfectly humane trap ( metal box, they enter into it to get the food and WHAM! trapped! )
DH actually had to set it up on our next door neighbours side ( she was aware he placed it there )
and was so grateful once I knocked on her door to celebrate the catch.
He took Rocky Racoon for a car ride to find him a new home far away from here!

Tonight he will re-set the trap cuz we know he had friends.

Enjoy your day everyone....my a.m. is filled with errands, so I may not have any real " me time " until after 1 p.m.

Busy, Busy day here. Gotta get myself organized and set up to work from home for the rest of the week. I might not be on much for the rest of the week...last minute 'emergency vacation/work from home week'.
Nothing bad, just need to take a week off.

The weather cooperated for anyone doing something outside.
