Chat-a-Thon 2017-18 Thread!

Had a great day so far!
It is all in the mobility! My walk was at 10:30, so I was all fed, washed up, and medicated!
It's hard for me to tell you how far because here we measure distance in terms of landmarks on the ward and floor. It was way farther than yesterday, and smoothly done, better than yesterday, so said the physiotherapist.

Had a good lunch, I need to do some house cleaning today of my chest of drawers, accumulation of too much stuff!

Have not met the new roommate yet, just know that she's old.

...and I fell for a prank this morning, from an aide. Lots of time, staff come in to look out the window. So she had come in and we were chatting as she was looking out the window. Then she got really excited, and I swear it was in the way she said it- that there was a deer amongst the trees outside. I started to get my glasses to put on, then I saw her crack up too soon, and knew it was fake.

You see, we do have magpies and other birdies, lots of Canada geese, gophers, and a few bunnies. Because we aren't far away from the riverbank, there are occasions every year of deer, moose, and even cougar sightings!

What a great, upbeat day you had!! I hope that progress continues! :)

Just talked to the most senior nurse for this ward, we get on really well. She noticed I am not using the meds available for break-through pain - well it's rarely. Otherwise, just have been taking extra before physio.
She wants me to try being on something right away in the morning, like if I am up at six, to get something from the night nurse. Obviously my pain will not be all gone, but she just feels it could be managed better - she said like this morning she was the one helping me in the washroom early morning, and I was crying. She said it shouldn't be that way.
Yay for her. She is on tomorrow, then later in the week so I know she will guide me.

In other news, perusing some April Fool pranks, this day just means so much more to our family. It's the day my Dad was ordained Deacon, in 1979.

Well, I am hoping me and my new roomie co-sleep alright. She did ask me if I go to bed early (and by that, turns out she was talking before 8:30!).

Yikes, it's going to be a looong evening!

I only noticed a couple pranks today and both were on YouTube. One channel the electrics said they were pregnant. Also 2 different podcasts took over each other’s podcasts . So if you tuned in you got the wrong host lol. Oh and good mythical morning was doing a taste test of invisible foods lol.

@Natalka I hope you get out of pain ASAP! I hate to think of you suffering, especially when there is an easy solution to it.

Good morning, everyone. Not yet possible to do yard work, unless raking the snow into piles counts. :-) So it will be Spring cleaning for me...that is, whenever I can't stand spending another minute at my computer, working. The house and my stiff joints will benefit from the scrubbing. That's my main exercise routine these days: cleaning the house and tending to the farm. Have a full and happy day, everyone!

The Leafs are " officially " in the playoffs as of last night!! Woo hoo! It was a decent enough game and Tavares put one in their net this time to piss the fans off even more! Silly bitter NY Islander fans.

I didn't see it yesterday but apparently James Comey ( former FBI Director, and Jolly Green Giant stand in ) posted on his twitter that he was in the running for President in 2020 . About an hour later he revealed it was an April Fools joke, but feathers were ruffled in the Political world momentarily! ha ha

Good morning..hope everyone is doing well..what a beautiful day we had April 1st temperature got to 21 degrees ..sun is shining today but lots of wind ..not going get nice day we had yesterday..have wonderful day everyone and please take good care yourself :cheer2:
