It is only Day 5 on a new plan for me....through recommendation from my family doctor.

It is only Day 5 on a new plan for me....through recommendation from my family doctor.

Yesterday the weather was nice so the kids and I built a snow man in the front yard. Then we went for a 2km walk. Twin 3yr Old’s, 6yr Old, and 11yr Old cat. I felt it by the time we got home. My winter boots aren’t made for that. It’s quite cold today, so it looks like the snowman will last for a while.
We booked a family vacation to Cuba. We will be leaving in early January. I guess we’ll see if this lights a bit of a fire under my butt. I’ve been stalled for a while now. I’m the exact same weight for over a month already. I guess I should say that I weigh 14lbs less now than I did on my wedding day...pre-pregnancies. I’m sure the Halloween candy isn’t helping me. I’m still struggling with some long term health problems. November feels like a month filled with medical appointments.
I’ve started doing exercises with our children in the living room. They are all in gymnastics, so they are practicing with me.
mini update:
Started the Dr. Poon Diet plan on Oct 27th, was placed on Phase 1 of the eating guide.
Lost 15.5 lbs in the first 14 days....that is always the good part!
Was instructed to remain on the Phase 1 regimen for 2 more weeks...hrmph!
Next weigh in comes on Nov 24th....hoping to advance to Phase 2 by then.
I did cardio and weight lifting this morning. It is -20 with the wind chill right now. It’s supposrd to get nice again on Tuesday.
I ended up with the stomach fly on the weekend. Our twins were sick with it this morning, but they bounced back much more quickly than me. I still managed to get some exercise in. As long as it isn’t too windy, I plan on playing outside with the kids tomorrow morning. Then it’s gymnastics, which we help our twins with.
On Thursday I had all the kids outside after their nap. We built a second snow man and three snow chairs for the kids to sit on. By the time we were done everyone had gotten fairly wet, but we had fun. I was fairly sore and tired by the time we headed inside for me to make supper.
Our vacation is 1.5 months away. Better keep at it. I’d like to see some progress before we leave for our beach vacation.
today was my 4 week check in at the Dr. Poon's Metabolic Clinic. Lost another 5.5 lbs in 2 weeks so why was I so glum?
Seems I am still impatient. After losing 15.5 in the first 2 weeks I got smug!
He reassured me...said the data he was looking at shows I am " holding water " ....hmmmm.
o.k. so find me a drain already! ha ha
I am now permitted to participate in Phase 2 of the diet but then he said " be aware that the weight loss slows to just 1 to 2 lbs a week when you add in some of these other foods on Phase 2. "
Now how is that going to make me happy? Booooo! I'll stay on Phase 1 another 2 weeks I think, well I'll sure try to.
Shoveled snow last night. Will hit the gym tomorrow. Tonight I will meal prep for the next few days. Have a large container of spinach to use up.
It’s just over a month until our family vacation in Cuba. I’m trying to get in better shape before the trip. With the amount of pain be been dealing with this year, I’m not eating the best. I spent 1/2hr during my kids’ nap time working out. I don’t want to overdo it and get too sore. I’ll try to get into more of a routine.
I'm still around and doing my ddp yoga. Doing pretty well and have lost weight. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks, I'm still keeping at it. I'm part of a challenge to do ddp yoga everyday from Dec 1st till the 24th. 3 days down so far lol.
Well @cabmonk whatever challenge you have going now, stay with it, it is clear that the DDP is the workout that works for you! I mean photos do not lie, you have trimmed down considerably! Congrats all the way!
My next official weigh in comes on Dec 8th. Hoping for some decent readings on Dr. Poon's scale.
My little ole home scale shows me at 25.5 lbs lost since starting Oct 27th, but I will wait for the real results at the end of this week.
