Contact Keurig customer support. I called them when mine died after 3 years of regular use, and they offered a replacement machine at no cost. All I had to do was mail them the removable k-cup holder from the machine. They make the money off the pods, so it's in their interest to give you a machine to ensure you keep buying the pods.

I did do that once when it was about two years old. Wasn't sure they'd do it again after seven years. But maybe! I'll give it a go.

Avoid the 2.0 - my boyfriend had it and nothing but problems with it clogging up often and it died after 6 weeks of purchasing it. Keurig refused to replace it as it was bought thru Amazon.ca. If you have success with Keurig customer service please let me know as I may try calling.

I just got off the phone with them. They asked nothing about how old it was, only said that if I'd tried all the troubleshooting (descaling, cleaning the needle, etc.), next step is replacement. If it's a few years out of warranty, they would offer a 20% discount off the products on their site. Woop de doo. I can get it locally for the same price as their 20% off.

I have a 2.0 and no issues with it clogging etc, just that sometimes even 2.0 pods give an error
Completely against Keurig advice obviously but you can buy clips for the machine or stickers to put in pods to trick it into seeing 2.0 pods

i carefully peeled the foil off the used pods that worked with the 2.0 keurig, and just place it on top of generic pods and the machine recognizes the pods. it works

Amazon usually have them on sale! I used it to have it but got rid of it and bought myself Nespresso. I love my [expensive on foot but what can you do] Nespresso
