ML Portions Question..

So I just came back from SS. They had Portions there marked around $9-$10. Also, they had the $2 peelies on them. Anyways, I get to the cash & planned to use my $5 off coupon, as well as get the $2 discount from the peelie. The cashier tells me nope, I can't do that. It's one coupon or the other. I've done this several times in the past, including that store. So I ask her if she could talk to her manager. Figuring they will tell me straight. A "manager" comes over who looks no more than like 17-18 & says nope, she's right. One coupon.

So.. my question is.. was she right?

They don't stack coupons, so they are right, BUT if the $2 sticker was a discount, not a coupon, they should have accepted it as well.

It just says $2 off.. but see.. only time I see these is when it's close to expiry..

I got a pack of portions a few weeks ago with a $2 peelie on them - couldn't use it with my $2 off coupon.

They were on sale this week and still have the $2 peelie.

She's right. It's a coupon, not a discount.

Well my bad. I had no idea. This was the first time of about 8 times that I was ever told otherwise. At least now I will know for next time! Thanks all.
