HAHA are you kidding me!!! I would've laughed at her and pointed out the fact that if someone took the instructions, how do I know they didn't go around and swap all the different hair dyes around. I hate shoppers drug mart. The only reason I go there is to buy this specialty cream for my son, other than that, I won't step foot in there. The customer service is unreal and the managers are a bunch of idiots.

My son is teething (
) and although I really hate giving him motrin and stuff, it really does help. We picked up some from walmart and he's a rather big boy (about 23lbs), so we have to give him about 1.5ml (according to my doctor) of infant motrin. Well come to find out that after about MAYBE 4 doses of motrin, the bottle will be empty (i haven't finished it yet, but I gave him 1 dose and already about 1/4 of the bottle is already gone!!). I was disgusted paying $7 (and it's the cheaper out of advil, tylenol and motrin!!!) for something that only gives him about 4 doses. Considering he has to use this until he's 2. I emailed them with the UPC # and everything crabbing, wanting to know why it's so small (I can justify $3 or maybe even $4 for it, but $7 is a bit much for something so small!!!), and what a friggin rip off it is. They responded rather quickly with this:
Dear Samantha,
Thank you for your recent e-mail concerning our Infants' MOTRIN® ibuprofen Suspension Drops.
Health Canada provides regulatory guidelines which mandate the amount of medication which may be packaged in Children's ibuprofen products. For this reason, and with the safety of children in mind, we do not market any larger formats of the Infants' MOTRIN® ibuprofen Suspension Drops. Please keep in mind however that due to the product being offered in a concentrated drop format, only small quantities of the drops are necessary per dose to provide therapeutic benefit.
In appreciation for taking the time to write to us and for your valued patronage, please forward your full mailing address and I will forward you some rebate coupons.
For current promotions, I invite you to visit our joint Canadian website with McNeil Consumer Healthcare+ at www.livingwell.ca. By signing up to receive information from the company, you will be notified of new promotions by email.
Consumer feedback plays an important role in upholding the standards that our customers expect of our products. We appreciate your comments.
If you require further assistance, please call the Information Centre at: 1 800 265-7323.
Sincerely,
Julie
Keep in mind I probably shouldn't have emailed them when I did LOL I was really crusty and tired. I ended with "Just another way to dig into a parents already shallow pockets!"
And it sounded a little like she was insinuating that I was overdosing my child!!!
LOL so for inquiring minds who have ever asked themselves why those bottles are so damn small........now you know haha.
And lurkers beware they DO want the UPC #. I'm not condoning people emailing just to crab about it, it was something I really wanted to know and was legitimately po'd about the price.
Sorry about the long rant, this really got under my skin (i have a lot of time LOL)

I dont find motrin overpriced at all considering it works the best out of them all. Kids pain reliever in general is expensive.
The max dose for motrin is the 1.87 ml as indicated on the dropper, if you buy a 30ml bottle for 7.97 (the price here) and your child is at the max dosage for say thats 16.042 doses.
Where did you find the teeny bottle? They only ones they have here are the larger bottle, for 7.97. and it tastes like white freezie.
Maybe theyve changed it in the past 3 months? That was the last time I bought some.

Well I dunno where you are, but for 7.97 (at walmart) we get a 15ml bottle of motrin that doesn't taste anything like white freezie (tastes like bubble gum). It's orange. AND it's not even filled to the top of the bottle. We have no options for 30ml (and definitely not 120ml- but that could just be childrens not infants) anywhere, and i've been to both our walmarts, all 3 shoppers, a rexall, 2 no frills, and a food basics!! I'm not talking about childrens motrin either, I'm talking about INFANT motrin.
I've attached a picture with the bottle next to a AA battery.
Edit: We must have an issue then with the 30ml bottles and 120ml bottles LOL because in her email she said they don't market any bottles larger than the ones I emailed about because Canada regulates the bottle sizes haha she said:
Health Canada provides regulatory guidelines which mandate the amount of medication which may be packaged in Children's ibuprofen products. For this reason, and with the safety of children in mind, we do not market any larger formats of the Infants' MOTRIN® ibuprofen Suspension Drops.

ya,, i figured as much EX.. i have an 18 month old who weighs 29.8 lbs,, so I am no longer using the infants version, so I have the option of the 120ml one.. when i was using the infants tylenol/motrin -- they sure went fast.. at any rate, motrin is by far more effective than the tylenol.. On a side note,, when they got rid of the infants tylenol -- the combo one.. I still had 2 bottles,, one full one partly used.. when i called them to ask what i should do.. they sent me out 2 FPCs.. wasnt a big win though,, since I paid out of pocket for them in the first place..

Ya, I think that's what sally was talking about. The 30ml, thats when they packaged them in duplicates, then they pulled it all off the shelves (too many people over drugging their kids I guess??) and now they charge the same price for half the motrin, THAT'S what makes me mad. I wouldn't crab if it was $3 or $4 but when its the exact same price as it was before they pulled the bigger bottles off the shelves. Now i'm lucky if I get 4 uses out of a bottle.
They were really nice about the whole thing, I find McNeil (they own Tylenol and Motrin) very easy to deal with if I have an issue. Tylenol just enjoys sending out coupons I think lol, I email and ask for a health booklet and they send me a whack of coupons to go along with it.

I love this link
I think it depends on how you word your request as well as who has recieved it. I know I have been turned down by some of the posted companies in the past as well I have succeeded where others have not. So if at first you do not get anything try again in a couple of months.
And If I am requesting coupons....I say nice things and put my address in as I am clear about my request
If its a complaint then I put my adress in to recieve my refund

I find as well that sending them compliments and leaving your address will usually result in them sending coupons without asking.
Who knew there was so many shades of white? I think color theory has me going crazy!
