Saw this eatery's gourmet burger and BBQ sauce recipe (you'll need a can of Dr. Pepper pop!) and thought the SC membership might like to know about it.

After seeing such burgers on TV, I've started occasionally making patties from a mix of lean ground beef and bacon chopped in the food processor. I've done as much as half bacon by weight, but even with less, the result is juicy and tasty.
How finely to chop the bacon is a matter of personal preference. If you want larger pieces, it can also be cut into strips by hand.

This is probably blasphemy to some, but I mix bread crumbs into my ground beef. It makes the burgers crunchy which I like.

It seems like the crumbs would have to be pretty large in order not to stay crunchy after the burgers are cooked, unless they're no more than about medium rare.
In any case, your post reminded me that when I want to add crunch to burgers and various other things, I usually sprinkle on some packaged deep fried onions. The kind sold for Indian food can be found around here fairly often for $2 for a 400-450 gm bag. I keep the uused portion in the freezer for up to a few months.

Like burgers but for breakfast! From the book Food-What the Heck do I Eat? by Dr. Mark Hyman
(Sobey's shoppers may have noticed that the meat section might carry bison steaks ($10.99 or so) or ground meat--bison eat grass...)
Grass-fed Beef Breakfast patties-Serves 4 Prep. time: 10 minutes; cook time-5 minutes
1 lb. grass-fed beef
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. dried sage
1 tsp. ground fennel seed
1 tsp. garlic powder
pinch of sea salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Place the beef in a bowl and add in the seasonings. Mix thoroughly and then divide evenly into 8 portions. Flatten the portions into thin patties.
To cook, heat the olive oil in a medium saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 2-3 minutes. Carefully
flip the patties and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Serve alongside fried, poached or scrambled eggs.
Store the meat, cooked or uncooked, in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 3 days.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
