Neat. Looks like it is only offered to mainly U.S. carriers.
Thanks!

Most cell phone companies will let you send a text message for free from their website as long as you know the carrier the person you are text messaging is with. Unfortunately the text message may be free for you to send but a lot of carriers will charge the recipient for receiving it (if they aren't on a tm plan). I am with telus and I know I can send text messages from their website. Oh, wow, that just reminded me of that, my sister is on telus and has a tm plan. I don't so I am going to start sending her tm online!
I always did this with a guy I knew who lived in Buffalo, it costs me to send a text message but he had a plan that gave him unlimited sending and receiving, so I just went to the sprint website and sent him text messages from there if i was around a computer.

Just wanted to let you all know that we just added 6 Canadian wireless carriers to our free text messaging service: Bell Mobility, Fido, MTS, Rogers Wireless, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile Canada.
Use it here: www.mobilemammoth.com/send-text-message
Most of these were added within the last 24 hours as a result of this thread. Would love to hear any feedback you might have, and of course if you'd like to see any more carriers added. twenty47 - thanks for the mention!!

unfortunately Telus changed their plans so people couldn't work around that anymore, they Removed their Call back number option, so now you can only type in the receivers # and not yours anymore therefore they will get a text without a number(adding your number was a GREAT feature) and they Also now charge for each incoming text even if you didnt want it. I guess they figured out the loop holes and that people were working around ways of saving money without a plan, etc all good things come to an end

On another note, has anyone tried this site?
