I always make sure if I am going to price match anything that it is the proper size as listed, or if the picture does show one that does make sense given the price. I have sort of a system in place when it comes to price matching...
For example, lets say Giant Tiger advertises a cereal for $2.99, save $1.50. This cereal is normally $4.99 at RCSS, If I compare the price of the cereal regularly at GT is $4.49 which is a discount store, so $0.50 in difference as compared to RCSS in terms of regular price. If the difference seems too big given the store I am trying to price match, I will not try to price it, however, if it seems like a reasonable difference I will price match it, but of course, leave the decision (in most all cases, unless it is obvious something is included in the price) up to the cashier
If this method makes any sense, It's something that I've been using for the last little while and it seems to work wellLast edited by johnb56789; Mon, Apr 2nd, 2018 at 08:23 PM.
