Need ideas for 3-year anniversary of sobriety to celebrate

hey all,

I will be 3 years clean from Alcohol on July 12, 2018. I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions besides having a cake and a party on that day. The year before the place i lived at promised they supply the cake but the day of they decided it wasn't so. I was crushed but still partied it up with friends despite not having a cake nor a party with people i knew. This year i believe is extra special because it is 3 years of not giving in and drinking at all. I cherish my days not drinking.

so have anything to suggest possibly?

First of all CONGRATS on 3 years! This is huge!!

I like to celebrate with a non food or alcohol treat, personally. I recently finished 80 Day Obsession (a fitness program). I treated myself with some new clothes..

Treat yourself to a new household item, new clothes, shoes, hat, mani/pedi, weekend away, good book, etc!

Might any friends or family be part of a grocery loyalty card program? There still might be a way to get cake, if perhaps later in the year if someone gets a free cake or 50% off cake coupon offer. Another cake idea-if a store has a sample day, you are so there during sample hours!

Also if someone has a perk from a different loyalty program for a free activity or pass to an event, see if she/he can get that perk for your use!
Think in terms of what you can do during the second half of 2018 as part of your 3rd year anniversary celebrations. Don't forget to see if there are free events by festivals or your municipality/library/local organizations that offer you an opportunity to try something new at the rec centre, park, or place where you can learn a skill that you've been wanting to try.

If there are people who helped you to get sober and you still think of their help now and then, how about sending them notes or e-mails saying that to them? That might give them a lift to know you still remember!

Congrats on such a milestone. What about a tiny tattoo that serves a a reminder and a celebration. I have no tattoos but it's just like this seems like such an accomplishment needs a statement.
